i would geuss because it gradually gets smaller and smaller to a point. This means no reflections back at the cone of the driver and no parallel walls. The sealed airspace acts as an additional suspension and nothing more no matter the frequincy. Think of it as a reverse horn with no outlet. Horns take small sounds and amplify them many times, that enclosure takes loud sound and cancels any wave activity out by the end. my geuss.

Not always. Generally, in daily tuned low applications that is the rule of thumb. SPL boxes seem to get smaller and smaller. Solo X 12's with ~1cuft before speaker displacement, rear side of walls keep moving more and more forward. Larger boxes are more efficent watt for watt but smaller ones give more mechanical powerhandleing above tuning. You can have a massively large box that will allow the driver to reach full excursion with half its RMS power and be 2dB more efficent than a smallerone that takes roughly the RMS power to reach full excursion. However the smaller one can sitll take double the power so in the end it will be 1dB louder. Not challenging your statement, just that alot of things that are rule of thumb in the audio industry somehow become an undenyable audip physics fact to people just understanding ported enclosures, which later on can cause a headache of argument or sudden embarassment. Best idea is to design a daily enclosure that will allow the most excursion with an acceptably flat responce with the power you have on tap. LEAP, Term Lab (i think), and a few others can modle this for you. WinISD Alpha Pro can to a less accurate extent as well.

CBFryman replied to bobby_7's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
that is beside the point. He got it, probably blew it, sent it to me saying it came broke. Laura was as helpfull as a sack of scottish horse chit, then gave HIM a refund...both for the return and purchase. I paid him 70 for the amp, 35 for the return. He got a full 115 refund and $35 from my return check and my $70. I asked him if he could just refund me the $70 and cut the $35... he never did and he wont respond to my PM's. If he didnt live more than $70 of gas away from me i would go kick his ass. Either way i got screwed, never agian will i buy refurb or from a wholesaler other than Onlinecarstereos.com. -
oh yeah, just yesterday, my PPD went up 2

ok whats it say then <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sum: I Am rursus: back (in the wrong form. rurus, rual ) E: And (E tu Brute!: And you Brutus?) Latin: Latin Narro: Speak (narrate ) TeamSSA: TeamSSA Frigus: Cold (cool) (Frigid ) I am back! And speaking latin. Team SSA is cool. as you can see there is alot of latin in all european languages even today. I geuss that is what you get when most european languages came from Latin or Greek (very close languages themselves) or came from languages which came from latin.
-
But English isnt nessicarully ugly if you think things that are purely functional and high tec are sexy. English bes describe feelings, emotions, and (being a mix of all languages) is hardest to master yet is best used to describe and explain something. There are many more words in the english language that are not in others than words in others that are not in the english language. Though it is harsh on the ears if you donot understand it or if it isnot used properly. Also, translating enligh to latin was SOOO easy because latin only relies on word order to emphasize what you are saying. You can put the words in what ever order you desire (how they come to mind) as long as they have proper endings so the listener or reader can understand that is the verb, subject, predicate, begining of a clause, and in what tense. Sentence this latin would like be. Makes scense? sorta. This sentence would be like latin is how your mind would put it. Putting it in that order, your mind would read it as. THIS SENTENCE WOULD BE LIKE LATIN! emphasis on the meaning.
-
and its lacking proper endings on two of the words.

ply voo fronce...lmao rursus sum! E latin narro. TeamSSA frigus. ^^my vocabulary about what i have to say about team SSA.
-
For some, yes. I took it to get out of Spanish or French at the highschool. Took it on-line. Very nerve-racking, two years. I cant speak it very well, or write/read it as i have a limted vocabulary; but it helps me alot in word comprehension if the words are mainly suffixes and prefixes that came from either greek or latin. I have a better understanding of the english language (no matter what jim thinks) and where phonetics come from. Also, i realized the english language is gay. With all this word order and what not. Well im out, be back in 2hrs or so.
