The black security thing on the key itself? That the thing where you stick it in another car and it won't allow that vehicle to start for a period of time (an hour?) ... theft device?

You can't eat any sturgeon you catch here. Lead, zinc, mercury, and many other toxins have completely ruined the fishing on the local river (years and years of pollution, pre strict and enforced government enviromental regulations). You know you can't eat it when you catch it and it looks back at you with three eyes, a couple extra/a few missing fins, etc.

No kidding ... both the light on the amp and bass knob are very bright. Lights up my interior at night for sure.

It's a doctors wife's car, not a frickin' dent, scratch, nick, or mark on it. No one has sat in the back seat, and it doesn't even look like anything has been put in the trunk. Let's just say they want to get rid of it. And, it only has ~ 17, 000 km's on it. ~ 10, 500 miles ... roughly 3500 per year. So ... I'd be an idiot not to buy it and keep it. Worst case scenario, I buy it, sell it, and walk away with a profit. I'll have to try and work a deal when I get home - perhaps a straight up trade for the '02 2500HD. Got a good enough deal on that thing that I'd come out ahead in the trade, even if I wound up selling it.

Boo, that v8 is bad. Get a 525i instead as it is a much better engine. The 540 is more fun, but I wouldn't want to fix one. Makes me sad. The car was mint.

I just installed one of these into a '99 Blazer last week. I like the display, bright and clear - the G-Analyzer is kind of funny It was easy to use and took half the time to set up vs my Alpine units - very user friendly. Easy to find the buttons on the remote. Seems like a nice unit so far - I'd use one if I had to. Time will tell if it holds up, and I imagine under typical use it will (unless the motorized face starts having problems).

San Diego. The electrical system is holding up fairly well actually, but at the very least I figure I should spend a few bucks and do the big three.

When I get home I'm going to get some 1/0 and do the big three in the Mazda I think. Fucking production/zoo/circus getting down to CA last night/today. All day seminars and meetings for the next couple days.
