    Welcome to the IHoP

Agreed - I have puked a few times over the years. Worst part for me is knowing I have to walk up the stairs and out to my car and drive myself home. Oh, and trying to sit down to take a dump the next day f!cking hurts.

Seen a counselor yesterday. He goes ... "Well what can I help you with?" I said ... "Well, I hate people ... in fact, I already hate you because of that pathetic lavender shirt" 50 minutes later he tells me I have an anger problem and should seek constructive ways of releasing it and methods to not get angry in the first place. Best hour of my life, as he confirmed that my in-laws are the source of most of my anger/hostility/etc. The women shut the f!ck up in a hurry.

Anyone remember that website where you type in one music artist and it will spit out a bunch of bubbles with closely related artists? It's slipping my mind ...

That's a piss off. I bought a property and the inspection said it needed $12,000 worth of updates. I threw down my second offer $18,000 less than the decided price and they took it ... I was pleased Congrats on the house! Any planned renovations or upgrades?

For all you know, that "supply" could be horse urine, vinegar, and saline ... If you don't have a proper cycle, PCT, and know the facts of using an anabolic substance, you're in for a lot of trouble. Shrink your balls and permanently screw your hormone levels beyond fuckered. I've been in it for 12 years and I am still not where I want to be in terms of size. In strength, yes; size, no. The boy on the other hand, now I know how to train ... he is where I wish I was at that age in a year and a half - genetics play a huge role and proper training + diet is key.

It is taking everything I have to hold back from replying to that weightlifting thread at the shithole Lounge ... pretty sure 99% of the stuff in there has come straight from someone's ass. Not worth it ... their six months in the gym and creatine will blow up and e-kick my ass because eight years of post-secondary and published articles in the field isn't enough.

Went to work today to deal with some paperwork and came across an advertisement on one of the student bulletin boards ... "1 resonant engineering eight inch competition sub for sale - $80" Kind of chuckled ... but glad at the same time that someone here knows of RE.

Shit, the last time I said that they turned into five foot tall towers. Can't exactly do that in my office. Well, it's possible ... but ... no, .. no, just no.

    Weight

Right on guys - keep busting your asses and shedding those pound you don't want to pack around. I'm still on the quest to gain weight ... bulking for this month, then I'll cut during May and chisel myself for the summer - send those pounds my way

Drove uptown today and the Chevy/Cadillac dealership up there just rolled two (1 black, 1 yellow) brand new Z06's onto their lot. Gotta start playin' lottery again.

Was 22*C here last Friday ... it has snowed and been 25 degrees cooler for the past three days. The asshole next door with his brand new Z06 can shove it up his ass.

Smart ... I burnt a few credits on 'The Electromagnetic Interaction' and 'Quantum Mechanics III' ... hell I think I took Solid State too. Christ that was along time ago.

Somewhat. Still have a ton of stuff going on. Semester is winding down so that is nice. I'll have the summer (May-August) off to work elsewhere and keep plugging away on my research. Got my research in on time to the journals so that was a huge relief. Been really busy lately trying to fit in training along with work. I still do roughly two hours of work per night at home which is acceptable and necessary, but I would still like to get it down. I have to do a whole bunch of reading on all of these new products and, hell, companies for that matter. If I'm not buying and testing products, I'm out of the loop.

Camaro It's called Periodization and Principle of Progression/Overload ("progressive overload") ... lots of info out there on the topic. Tudor Bompa's book outlining periodization is great. In order to notice results you need to keep your body guessing. You've been out of weightlifting so your periodization scheme should be something similar to this: a few weeks of general anatomical adaptation, few weeks focussing on hypertrophy (muscle size), few weeks of strength training, couple weeks of power training. It's just typical cycle. Throw in drop sets, giant sets, endurance training, plyometrics and so on. Everyone needs to sit down and plan a full training scheme. I do one year at a time and divide my time into a few mesocycles, each with a specific goal in mind. Each mesocycle is divided into microcycles with specific exercises, training loads, mini-goals etc etc etc. Biggest mistake is people just jump right into heavy weights for few reps ... let your body adjust and adapt first, then move on towards and address your goal(s). There's a lot to setting up a quality program - I just did a strength program for someone and it took me a few days and wound up being something like 26 pages long, full of detail etc. If you're interested, I can send you a bunch of info via e-mail (send me your address) - I'll send you my lecture notes from the Theory of Strength Training course I taught. Noticeable results ... you're looking at around the two month mark. Want to see results? Perform good exercise and bust your ass. As a novice you'll notice results rather quickly and your adaptations will primarily be neural at the beginning. Supplements ... most are complete garbage. Protein and creatine are pretty much the two only 'proven' supplements that work. The NO is a good pre-workout boost to maximize your time spent in the gym. Good idea to cycle it as to not become either dependent on it, or have your body get used to it (subsequently need higher doses). "Losing the gut" will come through cardio and abdominal exercises, more importantly what happens in your kitchen.

I need the extra support with the weight I'm doing on the platform now. Here is a custom made version made in Canada - I'll be getting a pair of these to check 'em out: Here is an AdiSTAR - I'm debating getting the Olympic version of these guys as well: If I go through a pair of gym shoes every year, then this is a pretty good investment if you ask me. $150 for good shoes that will last me the rest of my life and maybe one pair of gym shoes every year and a half or two years.

No kidding. You'd think the connections I have through my profession and athletic background would have been enough. Wound up being a 'friend of a friend' ... so it works for me.

Finally might have a lock on some Olympic issue weightlifting shoes. 'Bout time, I've been calling people forever. Adidas doesn't exactly make their shoe accessible to those who aren't Olympic athletes.
