I tried to find the shirt by searching for 'cunt' but I did not have much luck.

I absolutely HATE when people are late. My office ... 9:30AM. 9:31AM I begin to get angry. Anything after that, forget it - I'm gone. Phone me, page me, leave a message with the department, e-mail me, send me a message being towed by an airplane. Don't waste my time.

I like a lot of things $50K+ ... while it is possible to swing that kind of cash right now, from a practical perspective it does not make sense.

How do you hollow it out then? As already mentioned, you nove the rest to the front of the piece. I'm guessing you are visualizing a chunk of wood mounted between the two points on the lathe. When making a bowl, you can just use a mounting plate and screw it to a piece of plywood which you glue to the bottom of the bowl. Unscrew the plate when done, carefully knock the plywood off, and finish the bottom. I like to apply a couple coats of polish with the lathe spinning and then use a big handful of chips/dust off the floor from the bowl, cup my hands, and rub it into the bowl (while still spinning). Shines it right up.

Bowls are my favorite lathe project. I glue up hardwood scrap into panels and then glue the panels together. Make great presents ... and people were buying small candy dishes for $40+. I enjoy making pens, too - but only when I have the patience.

Well, I had the pleasure of driving the '08 yesterday. Was stickered at $56,xxx ... ouch. Other than that, no complaints. Also drove the '05 with too many miles on it. I would have bought it on the spot if it had 30K less miles. They both drove real nice. Seems like a smoth powerplant in both as well. I actually fit in it so right off the bat that is a plus. I'm only 6'4 but even that is a tough squeeze in some vehicles - usually I don't fit shoulder to shoulder, though. Definitely a better ride than the '05 Accord I drove. I like the responsivness of the 335i a touch more. Most comfortable of what I have driven in 2008 would be the IS 350 so far ... a real nice car, but I couldn't get it to respond real well deep in a corner ... very likely just my driving style, though. Only beef with the CTS ... if I recall correctly, 4600 lbs? The 335i is a full 1000lbs less.

Oh and regarding the Galapagos Finches ... I discussed that for a few minutes one lecture and one girl puts up her hand and asks: "Did they really actually measure the beak size?"

Stupid questions so far: When discussing the quickest route drugs take to get to your brain: "Is that why people snort cocaine?" It was 40 below the other day ... really, really cold. Anyway ... "Is brain freeze literal? Can you actually freeze your brain by breathing outside in this weather?" Discussing vision. I said something about red blood vessels in your eye. "Wouldn't they be blue? Blood is blue because the arteries in your arms are blue."

Someone brought something up about how brain structures are physiologically changed in someone with some sort of retardation or disease. I explained and ended with "Remember, you can talk to God all you want but if God talks back to you, you're schizophrenic" No more than five minutes after class I have a group of students outside my door ready to beat me with bibles and drive nails through my wrists.

Was in mint shape too. Black on black, all of the options I want ... just too many miles.

Found my CTS at the dealership today. The guy didn't call me because it already has 80,000km's on it and it is a 2005. He found an '05 in Manitoba with only 17,000km's on it listed for $24,900. Looks like they are out there ... just need to find the right one.

Going to light a fire under the salesman's ass tomorrow. Get this deal done by the first week of June at the latest. I think three full months is more than enough time. I bitched and got an order from factory done in ten days so I'm pretty sure he can find something in his network in three months.

Cash can actually sometimes hurt the negotiation as they make money in finance. I'd actually tell them you plan to finance with them and when it comes time in finance pay cash. What will make the salesman move is to be firm with your offers and 100% prepared to walk away if you don't get the deal you want. 9 out of 10 car deals I make, I get up to leave at least 2x in the process of negotiating. So I am guessing that the money made financing through them goes higher up than anyone concerned with cutting me a deal (dealership included) ...
