Modifying PS2 or Xbox for 12 volts.
Chevy350TPI replied to Tirefryr's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
How much did that run you ? 200 watt inverter plenty for a PS2 or XBOX ? I'm also on the hunt for modding AC ---> DC. - Steve -

Getting more Manufacturers

Seems to be the friend of a friend thing or just friends that is working now. Doesn't Adire already have Visionary ? As of right now, e-mails seem to be doing the trick ... and in my case, speaking directly to Donn himself. - Steve -
x2. Agree 100%. - Steve

The Civic hatch would be a smart choice I think. Reliable and efficient. Apparently quite the little bugger to install horns in though It's one of those cars that is there for you to mod the hell out of, and your plans as of now seem awesome to me - Steve

Hmmm ... this one could take a while. I like a lot. Memphis - awesome amps, some ok budget subs, well priced. Sony - Mobile ES of course. Phoenix Gold - Titanium ... very nice amps. MTX - Resident MTX freak ... as much as Aaron likes AudioControl. Orion - All XTR system last summer was amazing for the two months it was in. Kicker - L5's. Love em'. Really, I do. Stellar customer service, if not the best customer service in the industry. JL Audio - Like the products, dislike the prices. Alpine - Always love the head units Image Dynamics - Horns are wicked. Subs sound amazing. EQ is stunning. Eclipse - Awesome head units, and everything else. Big fan of the screens. Planet Audio - Love the amps. Period. Arc Audio - Love my amps and EQ. Awesome customer service. I'll never sell any Arc piece of equipment I buy. RE - Love every sub line and likewise for the 35 and 36-1D. Await the components and component amp. Adire Audio - Couldn't be more pleased with the Brahma / Tempest / Shiva's I've owned. Plan on getting some more HT things in the future from them. Crystal Mobilesound - CMPx2, enough said. Morel / Peerless / Scanspeak / etc - nice speakers. Missed a few. Would go into more detail if I wasn't crunched for time right now. - Steve

A bunch of local teams here. Nothing major yet, though would love too be one day. Main reason is ... lack of competitions here ... nothing within a 6 hour drive, and even then there's maybe 2-3 a year, if that. We have our own meter, so little unsanctioned events are held once in a while. Free of charge, just to spread the word. I paid for the meter ... no one should have to pay me to use it. Being on a team means a lot to the group of guys here. A good group of guys with similar interests who have come together to achieve similar goals. Everyone helps each other out ... system related, financially, whatever. We're more than glad to help other teams when we attend shows and meet up with other groups. As for helping the 'industry', sure ... we're not idiots in residential neighbourhoods. While we spread the word about mobile electronics, we always mention not to be a complete idiot when you do have a stereo. Since we're so small and from the middle of nowhere (isanctioned events wise), all we can do to support the industry right now is to be loyal to our brands and purchase, purchase, purchase - Steve

Oh yeah, was just looking through here ... forgot to mention, if you see anything in WA or surrounding states, SPL or SQ doesn't matter ... let me know. I'm desprate. - Steve

30+ Band EQ's
Chevy350TPI replied to Chevy350TPI's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah thats the thing. With the new project coming up ... I mean I'll still compete with it. I still need an EQ one way or another and I thought a rack style would be better for the installation I have planned out thus far. As of right now I'll look into finding a basic HT EQ and then see if I can swap the power supply. We'll see how it all pans out. - Steve -
Arc Audio MEQ-30 PPI DEQ-230 Kicker KQ30 Phoenix Gold Tantrum EQ30 Phoenix Gold Ti EQ30 Crossfire cq-30.2 Memphis 16-EQ30 Eclipse eq2102 Zapco eq30 AudioControl EQT AudioControl DQT AudioControl DQX Anything: http://www.behringer.com/02_products/group...smid=1&lang=ENG Image Dynamics idq31 Home audio ones that can be modded over to 12v. So I don't know which one to choose. Or rack or panel style. How extensive is the 115VAC ---> 12VDC mod ? My dream would be the Image Dynamics ... but, if I can get something from HT such as API / Rane / Alesis. Sorry I'm in a rush so I'm forgetting some details, but any insight is appeciated. - Steve

30+ Band EQ's
Chevy350TPI replied to Chevy350TPI's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah, I used to have a pair of EQT's before the Arc. Good call on the PPI ... I'm thinking of going with a home audio piece and doing the 115v ---> 12v modification. I have access to PCB and components, so it's really no problem. I've found a design so I'll just have to play around with it. - Steve
