True. Never thought of it that way. I agree 100% - Steve

That's true. And I agree ... if some people want to do that, awesome ... saves you the effort. But what I've been hearing from people who purchase boxes is that the reason they get them built is because they either don't have the skill/knowledge/tools, or time to build it themselves. So the question that comes from that is ... will they have the skill/knowledge/tools and the time to build it themselves ? I would go with the way you're thinking right now. Leave it as an option, don't make it mandatory. I believe it's a good idea - Steve

Perhaps even a Tempest would work. I don't know for sure though ... my pair were in a slightly larger box with more power. - Steve

Welcome to the forum. I know I'll have some random circuitry questions later on down the road. - Steve

Wicked. I always have stupid electrical / circuitry questions to ask. - Steve

And @ $175-225 / driver .... it's not bad at all. - Steve
-
Alright ... dual Shiva's ... amp = Arc 1500D-R. Right now they're firing upwards in 1.25 cubes per driver. I'm pleased with their performance, but I personally think they can do a bit more. I've tried 1 cube per driver, 1.25/driver, and 1.5/driver all sealed, with and without polyfill. I stuck with the 1.25/driver with polyfill just because that's what sounded the best to me. I've also tried 1.75/driver ported to 24hz. Wasn't too bad. Keep in mind they are firing upwards. It's a Chevy 2500HD ... big truck, four door, custom center console ... woofers in the back half of the truck firing upwards. Bucket seats in the back if you can picture it ... the console divides the truck in half and runs from the dash back to the rear cabin wall. I was thinking of downfiring ... thoughts and opinions ? Other box sizes to try ? If you haven't guess by my signature ... I am going for sound quality here, and will be competing the odd few times this year. Any help appreciated. - Steve

Guess I'll just have to wait then. Make a 15, and I'm there. Don't, no big deal ... might have to try 10's Thanks for the update --- guess I'm going to have to really keep up to date on this. - Steve

Just want to wire a friends two under-dash neon's and one under the back seat to a single toggle switch mounted on the dash. Battery ---> power wire (16ga) ---> inline fuse (5amp) ---> more power wire ---> 12v power on switch Acc on on switch ---> neon x3 (splicing all together to run off the single switch) Ground switch and tube. Right? Wrong? Your feet smell? Perhaps just using the cigarette lighter in the car. Cut the wires off the back of the lighter in the dash, cut the DC adapter off of the neon, wires from lighter into switch ... ? Probably the easiest way if it works ... Thoughts and opinions. Going for simplicity. - Steve

Neons ---> Switch

If I knew for sure, I'd tell you. But I'm stumped. And so are two certified mechanics. I bet it's something small we all overlooked. I tried to call you ... some lady on an answering machine ? - Steve -
It's deadened beyond belief. Picking new subs is a hard choice. I think running nothing but horns would work quite well for a while. - Steve

Update ---- We blew up $250 worth of neons. I'm not a happy camper. Actually, I've right the fudge pissed off if you really want to know it. - Steve -
Gotta love the Cubbies. Like the Expo's too ... even though they're poor and useless. Follow more college ball than MLB now anyways. - Steve

4 15" L5's. Still have them ... collecting dust in the basement. Might pull them out for SPL this year, we'll see. I had some older pieces back in the day ... however I have no clue what they were. - Steve
