Well, today is Tuesday, November 2nd of the year 2004. No parcels. I'd like to send a big fudge you out to Canada Post, and the Customs office in Vancouver once again. Today was the last day for my wire to get here in order to meet Canada Posts standards --- sent Expedited business parcel post ... should have gotten here last week (ontario -->BC) ... I can send a letter via regular mail from BC to Nova Scotia (farther than Ontario) and get it there in 5 days. Unbelievable. - Steve

Frickin' cold weather ... ah well - at least I can get the ice rink going in the backyard. 6:58PN - No parcels. Wire HAS to be here tomorrow to meet Canada Posts standards. Oh and screw that snowplow ... my new one isn't going on with one pair of hands. - Steve
-
Yeah ... it wasn't an option. 3:16PM - nothing here. Just snow ... and lots of it. Anyone want to help me put the plow on the front of the truck? I'm going to KO the person at customs over the phone. - Steve

Try ebay? IIRC there was a place in California with them ... Audio Video Outlets or something. - Steve

http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/1468 - if that's the same kit. Thanks for the link Trixter. I trim it down for now just to get it going (being careful not to arc it) and order one of those. IIRC, someone told me that they aren't the best solution since they cut down surface area or something of that nature. - Steve

Got my packages today. Heh, I really didn't. I just want to practice. And I like hearing that. - Steve

I bet it'll sound unreal in the Benz ... IIRC, those body styles have some good acoustics for SQ ... hint hint. - Steve

Mine's built, and it's here. And it'll be used in-car next week. - Steve

Over the past few years Memphis has really sumrised me with their subwoofers. - Steve

Welcome to the board - Steve

I've been saving for something for a while now, it looks nice to me. However, there's other stuff that looks nice to me too. My brother saved up for a while and got something nice, now it's my turn biatch. Those wheels look frickin' cool, along with the whole body - it flows so nicely. - Steve

Installation Routine
Chevy350TPI replied to Chevy350TPI's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So the general concensus (I probably butchered that word) is ... Disconnect negative from battery. Connect all of the wires to the amp and head unit, including ground to chassis. Take positive, install fuseholder, connect it to the positive, put in the fuse, connect ground. Or do you do it vice versa, connect negative then put the fuse in? Fire 'er up. - Steve -
Judging by Termpro, etc ... seems like a lot of chit happened once again. - Steve

Choices
Chevy350TPI replied to Peteyglad's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I had the 2050 before I got my 2100 - awesome amp, small, but a tank. I was going to suggest taking a look at the MTX stuff, however I think their amps are just a little too large width wise. Same for the Phoenix Gold stuff. I remember a little blue Orion amp, forget the series, would have been perfect if the dimensions were good. - Steve -
Can any of you Photoshop wizards whip up a couple logos for me ... don't need to spend tons of time on it, just a simple logo. All it needs to contain is "2005" ... it'll eventually wind up on my vehicle somewhere. Color can be used. A cool font is good - straight lines is cool as well. Doesn't have to be too large. Size 30-40 is plenty. I like backgrounds such as ... ... the lighter blue part. I seen some other examples somewhere where there was text was blended into the background. Thanks for any help. - Steve

I'd say that 8 will do well ... you should enjoy it. Should provide that extra kick. - Steve

Thanks for the help. Numbers 6 and 52 seem to be popular among my friends. - Steve

No, the earliest I should have seen it would have been this past Thursday - which would have been just 7 shipping days. It had better not take 5 weeks to clear customs, or I'll fly off the handle. That mahogany looks amazing ... nice work Wish I had a HT setup like that. - Steve
-
Bah that sucks. Ah well - next time Let's just pray that the customs doesn't take 5 weeks with my amp. - Steve

I'll be watching ... naturally - Steve
