Best SQ and SPL tracks

What I've been using lately ... keep in mind this is just what I've found to sound good in my vehicle (not the loudest). SQ: Rush - YYZ Eagles - Life In The Fast Lane Eagles - Love Will Keep Us Alive Doobie Brothers - China Grove Dire Straits - Money For Nothing Dire Straits - Walk Of Life Dire Straits - Heavy Fuel Crosby, Stills, Nash, And Young - Woodstock CCR - Almost all of the greatest hits CD Kenny Chesney - I Go Back Story Of The Year - Page Avenue Jessica Andrews - There's More Than Me To You SPL: Xzibit - Get Your Walk On Petey Pablo - Vibrate Petey Pablo - Freek-A-Leek Ill Bill - American History X DMX - Right/Wrong Beastie Boys - Ch-Check It Out Actually, come to think of it, I haven't really cranked anything really loud in the past little while. - Steve -
I figured about $800 in parts + labour. Police estimated damage at $1500. Actual insurance quote: $2500. Thank God I only pay $750 and the car is in unbelievable shape for its age with low km's ... or else it would have been gone and I would've gotten a lot less. Should've seen the insurance guy ... great guy and all ... just kind of suprised me when he started ripping the grille and light out and started tossing things over his shoulder and saying "Oh, you'll need a new one of those" Cool thing is they're giving me a whole new hood (I could've pounded it out and fixed it myself) and repainting both fenders ... guess my insurance does pay for something once in a while. - Steve

I like the RF Power HX2. Another one I'd note is the Morel HU631 ... I think that's the model number - it's a 6". - Steve

Been looking for that link for a while - thanks Dave - Steve -
I've been using that skin for a few months now - I find it cool to be almost using another head unit, just out of car. - Steve

Know what's bullshit? Went out last night ... didn't smoke, drink, or do drugs ... just had a nice time with a few friends. I was smart and parked down the street with another friends vehicle, well out of the way - a block and a half at least. I backed in so it would be easier to leave, and he pulled in beside me, but a few feet back. I come outside, it's 12:15AM. Passenger side grille, hood, light, bumper - smashed. Even left a nice hole in the plastic bumper from the exhaust pipe. Friends drivers side rear bumper messed up, muffler assembly hanging down ... like the person backed into me and slid over into him, if you can picture that. Take a look at the front window and under the wipers - no note. So much for doing everything right and trying to have something nice. I'm tired of trying to make chicken soup out of chicken chit. - Steve

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent set up, they fell asleep. Some hours later, the Lone Ranger wakes his faithful friend and says, "Tonto, look up at the sky and tell me what you see." Tonto replies, "Me see millions of stars." "What does that tell you?" asked The Lone Ranger. Tonto ponders for a minute, then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of Planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What it tell you, Kemo Sabi?" The Lone Ranger is silent for a moment, then says: "Tonto, you dumbass, it tells ME that someone has stolen our tent." - Steve

That'll be a big list ... I'll get on it. - Steve

A custom TC Sounds 15" DVC2ohm driver. Gain is a little less than half. - Steve -
I'm loving it right now @ 1.4 cubes sealed. Hopefully I can build another sealed enclosure (larger) and a ported one in January. The price of the 18" PR's were a lot less than that a while ago IIRC. - Steve

Heh, you probably thought I was talking about ports - you narrow minded so and so My amp shipped from SoundDomain in Seattle on October 14th. This was sent via USPS. Naturally, the packages get sent to Vancouver where customs sorts through them, checks for drugs and bombs, determines the appropriate charge (14.5% tax in my case), and then hands them off to Canada Post to go and deliver. 7-14 days is normal for something coming from the US via USPS Air Mail Parcel Post. As of right now, customs has a 150, 000 package backlog, which is absurd, and people have been waiting for up to 5 full weeks for their package. Seattle is only a couple hours from Vancouver. Vancouver is only 8 hours from my home. USPS works on Saturday. The amp shipped on a Thursday. The amp would have been at customs either Friday, or for sure on Saturday. October 29th (Friday) marked the 13th day the amp has been in the mail. Customs should take one or two days with a package. They have been fux0ring around with my package for 11 bloody days now. Let it be known, come Tuesday morning, if my package has not arrived on Monday ... if you work at customs, I suggest NOT answering my phone call. I'd just like to send out a big F CK YOU out to Canada Customs. - Steve

You bet. 21 days later. - Steve

Will do ... give me a day or two - Steve -
When you start a new project, do you set a budget? Do you lay out how much you are willing to spend for each piece of the system? Do you usually wind up adjusting those numbers? Have you gone, or are you, overbudget right now? If so, why? - Steve
