1. Quality circuit board. Quality components on the circuit board. Large, but functional, heatsink. Decent cooling system. Flexibility (drop below 1ohm). Put the bloody adjustment knobs on the top of the amp (thank you MTX)! Good protection circuit. Easy wire inputs / outputs. Quality tubes (if it's a tube amp, no Chinese tubes) Etc. 2. Positive - give people something to do ... keeps kids off the streets. Instead, they're inside their garage smoking weed and adjusting their amplifiers, instead of smoking weed downtown and breaking windows. Negative - many members of society hate loud car stereos. You get the idiot kids blasting their stereo in a residential area at 2 in the morning ... it doesn't do anything good for this hobby. Without amplifiers, people wouldn't discriminate against teenagers and/or teenagers with aftermarket mobile electronics installed in their vehicles. 3. Benefits? Without amplifiers, you could install your equipment into your vehicle and ... look at it. Your CD player would power up. You could put a CD in it, yes, and look at the pretty lights ... but can you hear anything? No ... there is no power being send to the speakers - so no sound. Amplifiers allow you to hear music in your car, in your home, at your church, or in a hockey arena. 4. Class A, Class B, Class AB, Class D. Tube amps, solid state amps. All just my opinion. - Steve

Yes ... 19.5mm's is standard up here. I want fudgeing 3/4" ... so you better damn well believe I'm getting 3/4 fudgeing inch tomorrow. They had no problem bringing 3 sheets of 1", 5 sheets of 3/4", and 8 sheets of 1/2" MDF. Bastards.

Anyone else have a chitty day so far? Drove to work, parked ... was distracted by a co-worker - locked my keys in my car. Wife brings spare key down, so there. Why I don't keep a spare in my office, I don't know. Hadn't thought that far ahead. Anyways, order a pallet of 4 x 8 x 3/4" birch plywood, good on both sides. I run home at 8:30AM to see it delivered at my home. Pull up, it's already there. Good start. Get out, look at it ... chit, it looks thin. That's because it's 5 fudgeing 8ths thick. So I call and they don't have the boom truck to come and pick it up. So I'm pretty pissed of ... load each sheet into the bed of my truck and drive back to the hardware store. Unload it and leave it in the loading yard. Explain my story to the knothead working there, he says alright, I'll deliver a different pallet. Come home at 10:30AM to check it out ... the new pallet is there! Pics below ... WRONG! THEY DELIVERED ..... ANOTHER fudgeING PALLET OF 5/8" BIRCH PLYWOOD. They're convinced that it's 3/4" because it's the thickest they have. Well fudge you too, hardware store. So I've got a pallet of chit sitting in my driveway. Unbelievable. Meanwhile, I'll be at work late to make up some time. For fudges sakes.

Yeah ... forget the guys name who does the flames that look real ... you know, the guy who did his semi, a helicopter, etc ... I think he could have been on TLC's "Rides" one night ?

Not even worth the download.

Don't sell it to some moron. Actually, don't sell it at all. You can find a way to hide it in your car. Or send it 1200 watts in a HT setup and knock yourself on your ass when you turn it on.
-
So ya bought it, eh ... I hope you like it once it's on your truck. Going to carry the flame theme on other parts of your truck or what?

Brand wise ... Alpine, Eclipse, Nak. Had luck with certain models from many other brands. I won't ever own a 2005 Eclipse unit though ... I can't deal with the aesthetics. -

Those prank call soundboards are great.

Pisses me off.

Drive to work tomorrow .... Some catchy classic rock, some new rock with a good beat, some hip hop to get the ubwerwoofer moving, or what ... I'm sick of hearing the same old bullchit. Classic rock is fun once in a while, but not when you're giving someone a ride that you really don't want to listen to. I guess some hip-hop or rap it is then. Even then, I can only listen to that chit for so long. I just can't finish a song - I'm constantly changing tracks.

How big of truck is it? Renting trucks here is dirt cheap. Like ... cheap enough to rent one for a couple days to just drive it around just to say "Hey look at me I'm in a big moving truck" Mind you, trailers are freakin' cheap too.

jlaine and NjccBflo = great guys.

11 cubes is easy. One fudgein' huge ugly ass MDF box on the back seat never hurt anything.

Dual 18 SoloX + big wall + lots of power + good charging system + brand new truck = one happy man.

What wire you use?

I think I'm using 10ga or 12ga for my Uberwoofer ... and it's WAY too big. I'll be downsizing pretty quick ... -
Anyone out there?
