Nevermind harder to obtain later on ... but if you can land a couple scholarships and/or work during those two years and come out even or ahead you are in really good shape. Not to mention all of the contacts you will make during those two years - job opportunities really start to open up. Actually, on the making contacts note, I highly suggest undergrads and grads going to school right now attend conferences in your field. Listen to the presentations and go to the booths ... that is a great way to nail down some great potential employers or contacts for future use.

x2 - I would definitely recommend a Master's. The return for the investment is worth it in my opinion. A lot of schools hand out enough scholarships to cover tuition, research, and cost of living ... so two years of free eductation to bump your B to an M ... nevermind the chance to go on and snatch a PhD if you wishl.
