setup change: xxx15 to two dd3512d's

It'll definitely be a change. Now a better change or not, I don't know nor I won't begin to say because I haven't heard neither driver in the enclosure you have. 1200 watts to each driver is plenty for daily driving. I know I've read where people do enjoy the 3500 series to beat on daily.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Got $450, 000 I can borrow? Or better yet, an extra $10, 000 a month for the monthly payments I'd be making? I have a big time anger problem though. I'll admit it. My attitude since high school has been I'll fight anyone over anything. Lots of little things piss me off. Italian temper at its finest, I guess.

I must loose five or six pens a day on my desk in my office alone, not including the ones I put down elsewhere in my personal office.

    Welcome to the IHoP

My thoughts exactly ... saved me some typing So the teachers are on stike here. Going on just over a week now. Very ugly as other unions within the province are walking out. My bank has been supporting the teachers by picketing outside of the bank for the past three days, no public transportation, recreation centers being picketed, and the pucking post office is being picketed. The goddamn employees are Federal employees, not provincial ... so why in the fudge are they picketing ... absolutely unbelievable. I can't mail chit because it won't get sent out, and I can't even see my bloody bank accounts. I love it. The dumb chits (unions and just dumb people) that have walked out and supported the teachers are going to get absolutely raped in the ass ... whether it be jail time, suspensions from work, flat out fired, or fined big time. Yeeaaah you've been getting a 1% raise each year for the past 10 years and it's definitely not enough, everyone agrees that teachers are underpaid. "We care about the students." fudge that, no you don't ... if you cared about the students you'd be inside teaching them instead of outside making yourselves look like fools because a) union is getting fined ten grand a day which is coming out of the union dues you've been paying, B) every four days you are on strike a teacher will be fired because that's 40 grand which pays a first year teachers salary, c) the strike is illegal, d) you can't afford to go on strike because you don't get paid for three months out of the year, e) you're fudgeed either way because you'll probably go back to work without a contract and no increase in pay. They'll get a contract, but it's not going to be great. Kill 'em all. I hate the government and general society. And what is up with people staring at you when you're driving or crossing a street? Don't pucking stare at me for christs sake.

Home audio idiot here....I would like some ideas

Ryan ... I'd take a look at: http://www.partsexpress.com/projectshowcase/homeaudio.html See if anything jumps out at you, and see if it's in your price range. If I was using the RE's in home, I'd likely go for 2 cubic feet sealed or 3-3.5 cubic feet ported for the pair.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Forgot to mention that I prefer the sound of the ID's over the Peerless CSX I had. I say "liked above" because I want to get into the mood of wanting to swap things out for something else

    Welcome to the IHoP

I liked the midbass. Plain and simple. To be honest, I liked them a bit better than the Koda's, but that is just my opinion. I guess I'd describe the sound as smooth and defined. If I were to run the CXS6 set I'd feed 'em between 150-200 RMS per side. They're on sale at CarDomain for $348.95, just in case you didn't know. Brand new set, full warranty, all that jazz. $300 even on eGhey right now. I wouldn't pay a lot for them. You can get a lot in this price range as you know. chit, with you ... DIY isn't that bad.

    New SQ car???

I think the 4-Runner would suit your needs best ... based on what you posted above. Lexus would be my second choice. V6 Accord or Maxima third.

Upfiring 15" Subwoofer in a hatcback

I always though 3db was a noticable gain, a doubling of 'sound intensity'. I believe you're correct about the generalization of 10db being perceived as being twice as loud. Judging by what I've read about the new Mags so far, I'd imagine if you went with the ported box and 1200 RMS route, it'll tear your head off

    Welcome to the IHoP

I only have basic knowledge of the subject as it isn't my field, so I figure I'll ask. The coating on nutritional supplement pills ... does it break down slowly in the stomach and release the supplement slowly, or does it just break down and release everything all at once? I figure it's just gelatin or whatever, so it'll break down rapidy and relase the product rapidly. Basically asking if it's safe to take some of that stuff by taking apart the pill and downing it's contents. I guess it depends on the supplement ... so tribulus terrestris and nitric oxide ... pretty potent stuff, depending on what study you base your opinion on.
