I finally get to finish up my pucking research this week. I don't mind research, but when it's not even close to being in my field ... it blows. Only downside to teaching in a facility not specializing/equipped in your field.

If I do ... absolutely. We'd have the biggest goddamn party ... Seen a lot of nice homes I liked. A lot seemed way overpriced, but they're beautiful homes. A 3 bed 2.5 bath caught my eye, but we'll see. The one thing I really enjoyed about Thousand Oaks was the fact that when I threw up various gang signs, no one seemed to know what I was doing - figured I was deaf or something.

What do you look at and order from? Not brand specific, but ... I imagine most everyone here has a copy of Summit and Jegs sitting around somewhere. Few of you guys are even lucky enough to look at say ... BMW, Corvette, or Mustang specific

The vehicle Treo uses as their demo ride seems so ... fitting.

Ah ha! http://www.ernies-used-auto-parts.com/asp/...sp?ID=539020709 Hopefully it's the right thing.

Nice! Thanks Kent

Yup, for the IROC and Mazda. Moreso the Mazda. More worried about suspension for the IROC this year. Adjustable torque arms perhaps.

I hear ya Actually, what about replacement parts? Looking for a couple options (rear deck lid, etc) that didn't come with the specific model / weren't selected at time of purchase.

Nice enough out today to turn the outside water on. Going to take a minimum of three washes today to get the sand and gravel off and out of all of the little hiding places.
-
Of course - at least he didn't make it seem like he was trying to make a sale, which is always a nice change.

Hmmm good to know, good to know. I'm using FF on both of my home machines and at work. I might have to just start off with Opera on my new laptop when I get it. Oh, and it's amazing just how serious you're taken and how well you're treated when you walk into a dealership with a suit on. Maybe American dealerships are like that ... or just this one. Seemed like the guy I talked to wasn't interested in making a sale at all, which was a nice change from the pricks I have to deal with up here. "Sir, I'm not going to bullchit you with the specifications they make us memorize about the cars as it seems you already know what you want and more about the cars then I myself do." ... that guy instantly got my respect right then and there.

What's faster for general browsing in terms of say ... overall speed? Firefox or Opera? Is there a pros and cons chart somewhere comparing the two?
-
PS: I am effing tired.

That blows Dennis. I've got my final all made up. It's a tough one, but do-able.

Driving break. In the middle of nowhere ... Lots of Mexican folk. Lots.
-
How did you know I took a couple toys out for a little drive? Heading home now. Hope I don't get car jacked like those three other people did today in CA.

Holy nice/expensive houses down here. Seen a few that caught my eye. Have to make a return with the boss and when I have more time. Long drive back tonight. Still going to drop by the MB dealership after we finish lunch here
-
Those ASA's look really nice. I'll definitely be stopping by the MB dealership today (Silver Star, I think) ... that was already planned /check out.
-
Back on the road. Long day today. Should be able to hit the housing scene hard tomorrow and check out a few other things in the area.
-
Thanks - likewise for you. Looks like you have quite the plan

Yeah, 630k is the scary thing. Real scary. For 550k, you're basically looking at a townhome ... some actually seem rather nice though Fremont seems ok right now, sort of an in-and-out thing real quick. I like how I can get an internet connection nearly everywhere. The Volvo was awesome to drive down here. I wouldn't let the other guy drive Makes me wish I had a big luxury cruiser. 200 miles on US 97 and another ~ 190 on I5 was great. It's only about 5.5 hours to Thousand Oaks from what I gather. Almost 300 miles on the I-580/I-5. Hopefully the highway patrol isn't out.
-
Haha ... it's actually becoming more of a pain in the ass now. They're entering the vehicle and license plate (as well as who is in the vehicle) into their system, plus where you're going, where you're staying, what you're doing, and how long you're going to be there - guess if I make too many trips down there I'll get put on the hit list
-
Annnd back on the road. I don't even know what this town is called, if you even want to call it a town, but it sucks.
-
Finally get a break after 10.5 hours of driving. Cruising on the freeway is a nice change. We'll see about the moving. I'd like to, but I've only got about a day (this trip down) to look around. I have a list of homes to look at in Thousand Oaks ... there are some nice 3 bed/3 bath/1600 sq ft homes there.

pucking delays. I want to drive! Oh well, just going to have to make this time up.
