    2nd gen mag

this was a hard decision but i found 2 12" 2nd gen mags for 370 shipped, it was either these or the new d2, i was wondering do these also perform well in sealed apps or ported apps, also what would be a good amp to push them, my 2500d took a crap on me and is a goner.

    home for my mags

hey guys i need some help building a box for these bad boys, i'm purchasing 2 as soon as my paypal can get varified, so in the mean time i want to build a box for these, its my first time building a box and need some tips also. What would be a good amount of space for the subs, i was thinking around 4-5 cf total for the subs, tuned to 28-32hz, i'm not goin to compete or anything just want a pretty good street beater. i think i did some calcs i think the most i can fit in my car is 4.5 cf including port , but i might have to re-calc again, and any suggestions are welcome. thanx

yeah i have been searching the forums, seems like for a single 12 people use around 2-4 cf depending on the sub, well looks like 2 cf per sub, also what is a good size for the port?

  7. Sup guys, i'm really interested in the mags, i know it's goin to cost me some money but def. well worth it, i'm thinking of putting up a wall in my car and go with either 3 12" mags or 4 12" mags, most likey each powered by a nine.1 or an RE 12.1, i was wondering how much space would be recommended for them i'm goin to say probably 2.0 cf per sub? and what would be a good tunning for it, probably around 32-35 hz? its either a wall or 2 12" in a crx style box with a orion 2500d.. suggestions are welcome. thanx

    wall for Mags........

ok how bout 2 12" in a 5-6 cf box tuned to 32hz, and both hooked up to an orion 2500d at .5 ohm load, would that be a good combo?

    wall for Mags........

yeah, i think i'm goin to go with 2 12" and make a crx style box, where the subs face up and the port facing the trunk since i have limited space, or should i got with a single 15"

    wall for Mags........

yeah, good point, how bout a 2500d running all 4 which would put the amp at a 1 ohm load, so about 500-600 watts
