    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I was up and down a raggedy ladder all day that I exceeded the max weight limit by 50lbs and had to step on the top rung at that.Don't know why I didn't leave and get the appropriate ladder for the job...Guess if I would have ate some concrete head first I would have wish I did.

I drink some John Wayne type coffee, usually chug about a half of pot.And most of the time I will chug a Sun-Drop and a couple of BC powders, and I am ready to go.. For a couple of hours anyway then I get sleepy about 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon.lol

I don't know if you ever heard of it or not but we have a lemon lime type soft drink down here called Sun-Drop..It has 118mg of caffeine in a 20oz bottle it is as popular as Coca Cola here..I know alot of people I have talked to that lives up north has never heard of it.I drank about 3 of them a day most of the time

Wow! How much caffeine is that? You know they say you can overdose on caffeine?I don't know if I believe that but its what I read somewhere.

I will for sure check on that before I purchase..But after watching that vid about the Makita makes me want to go with them but a decent Makita combo would be way over budget for what I was wanting to fork out..But like you said if they wont do the free battery replacement I may just pay the extra for the Makita..The Hilti would be nice but that is way unrealistic for me right now as far as budget..Maybe I will purchase one in my dreams tonight..

Matt do they have any on Rigid?..He really dug into those drills and they looked to be of superior quality.

I got a attachment somewhere that goes on the head of the drill for cutting sheet metal. But yea turning the blade around works wonders too.I got a set of big Malco shears that will cut about anything.

Thats actually got everything I was wanting pretty much.Drill, little impact driver, sawzaw, and little circular saw.Just the very basics

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I think I will go with the Rigid like the one I linked a few post up..I ain't going to pay over $300.00 for something that will hardly be used.If it was something I was going to use every day I would not have a problem paying $700.00 or so for a combo kit. To me it would be like putting a snap-on tool box full of snap on tools in a vehicle for a emergency kit.lol I kinda always suspected Ryobi to be do-do but never used one so didn't know for sure.

What about this guys? Its got the basic stuff I may need with it. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Cordless-Lithium-ion-5-Tool-Combo-Kit-w-Drill-Impact-Driver-Circular-Saw-Reciprocating-Saw-Light-R9623N/300146409?cm_mmc=Shopping|THD|G|0|G-BASE-PLA-AllProducts|&gclid=CjwKCAiA8P_TBRA9EiwAJrpHM0Tu_6PmQgabEwc_gaU0QUMp_2Qw8STnO4mvN_63Hga9kJqDMYNG9BoCZ28QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CKe634ykn9kCFdNgwQodfucDeg

Yea this is just to keep in a vehicle. So if I am ever out somewhere like a family member needs sumthing done or something, maybe a door nob put on,door adjustment, furnace serviced, ect. Its not like I will be installing a 50' Air Handler or Chiller with it,in a hospital.lol

Thats what I am screaming! And you can get a free tape measure at harbor freight! With a coupon of course. I actually have a heat gun from there.Drill Master or something another. It has done the jobs that I have needed it to.Think I got it for $6.99 with the coupon.lol

I understand totally..It is going to be hard for me to find the time to do a simple 5.7 swap in this blazer I have..I am sure it's not that simple to do a LS swap in a RX7.Do they have a kit for that? Or is there a lot of fabricating and such in the process? It would for sure be cool though.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

So your saying Rigid may be a option for me? I did see a few combo kits kinda close to my budget I am wanting to fork out..Like I said this will just be for basic protects here and there, not like I will be building a house with it..I am pretty familiar with power tools but just a basic set I have no clue as to what is halfway decent..Like Matt was saying Hilti is contactor type power tools thats the sort of thing I am used to. What is a deccent Rigid set you would recommend?

    So is Ryobi any count?

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I did not know that Ryobi was made by Milwaukee. So Milwaukee is the parent company? So pretty much hit and miss then.Is it probably better then Craftsman? They have some in that range.I did own a 18 volt Craftsman combo kit back in the day.It wasn't to bad for very very basic projects but nothing I would rely on at a job site.

But I am not wanting to pay the price of the Hilti at the moment..Lol specially what it will be used for.Hilti's are pretty expensive but worth it really..I love their hammer drills they will eat threw concrete like it is nothing!

Or like this maybe is more like it..This one is on ebay but I should be able to get it at my local home depot for around the same price..I would rather get it local so if something happens to it I could just run it back up there and exchange. https://www.ebay.com/i/183059647175?chn=ps&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-117182-37290-0%2F2%3Fmpre%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fi%252F183059647175%253Fchn%253Dps%26itemid%3D183059647175%26targetid%3D376183974641%26device%3Dm%26adtype%3Dpla%26googleloc%3D9013259%26poi%3D%26campaignid%3D962373765%26adgroupid%3D46238024325%26rlsatarget%3Daud-385157862439%3Apla-376183974641%26abcId%3D1129816%26merchantid%3D114985026%26gclid%3DCjwKCAiA8P_TBRA9EiwAJrpHM76d4FQJ1vQOGu38kbHg7MHVtg5QpLkLHPDw5rJVBTaiyW-kB8w-MBoC4noQAvD_BwE%26srcrot%3D711-117182-37290-0%26rvr_id%3D1438808678077
