Know anything about enclosing 4 Rockford p3D4-12?
mikel7829 replied to tac2137's topic in General Audio
I would suggest no less then 4 cu.ft @35hz depending on the owner of the subs is wanting.....If it was me I would do 5 cu.ft @32hz... Unless if he would want it to sound like total garbage and last for a few weeks..For fun I would do 8 cu.ft @38hz..lol -

Nice if I could use them I would I would jump all over it! -
If I had to guess the bl is experiencing cancelation issues..But really you need to post more info on your gear amplifier, ect. tunning frequency of current enclosure and so on...
-
What type of automobile? Why would you not fire the bl toward the plate? And where is the port firing?
-
happy b day!!!

And in most cases in my experience the one's who have problem with education is the ones who have none.....
-
The OP stated nothing about the 720prs....But the d1720c's That would be like comparing a Old punch45HD to a P300X2....
-
Right!...LOL
-
Agreed with Impious...How many times does this need to be stressed?lol save your monies!
-
Uhh? your telling me the the TS-D1720c comp set Is better then the CL-61A-25 pro's? you serious! pioneer is not even in the same class I would never recommend a pioneer speaker other than the higher line premier and I would be embarrassed about that! But I love their H/U's that's all I will use.
-
You are asking advice on piecing a comp set together with some sony equipment am I right?
-
New comp set for the win!!!
-
You can lead a horse to water but you cant make them drink OLD FART
-
OMG you do not want to do that...Just find a budget for a new set of comps and I'm sure somebody here can guide you in the right direction..After wasting money and time on shaddy products...Spending a few extra dollars for some quality gear will be worth it in the long run.
-
You can never go wrong with getting more education....Knowledge is everything in life!
-
What did you pay for these? any chance on a refund? You could have scored a set of CDT's or Image Dynamics for the around the same price most pioneer comps I have heard or harsh and their power handling is very overrated..Like was stated above what exact equipment are you running with these? That would be more helpful assisting you..

Thank you, bro

lol Yea been a while since I have posted here like almost 6 years...I am embarrassed

If the ground wire melted? That a definite short... chances are the PCB is shorted from possible overheating.Or could be as simple as a Burnt/shorted capacitor,resistor..If you can pin point the issue they can be had for much of nothing a your local radio shack..If I had to guess it is a resistor that steps down the voltage flowing through you PCB.....If you find the problem circuit...And can give me a description I can lead you in the right direction.
-
Omg sandsnip3r what have you been up to bro?

I want my system to be efficient and not drop voltage at 1ohm (1500wat

I'm guessing this is a 100 amp,I would suggest the big 3 with at least 0/1 100% oxygen free copper..No CCA garbage you can leave your factory wiring in place and this will not effect nothing at all...will work as a back up if your big 3 wiring was ever to get damaged..As it will travel in the path with the least resistance...I would suspect this will fix any voltage drops with your current set up....For future reference you could probably email mean green and they could rewind your factory alt to fit your needs... -
