-
ya gotta keep that in mind. "MR." is very competive

flakko posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
im gonna mix the Rainbow SLC mids with the CS tweets. now my questions is, which crossover do i use? the soundline or the countour? -
looks extremely nice with the grill. all that white lettering kills the "stealth" look

today i have finally finnished installing my friends budget system. consists of: - 2 10" IDQ v2 in .8 ish each sealed - Kicker 6.5" ks's - And..... The USamps IS 4085 4 channel amp :yumyum: - and a mix of ebay and Johnecon2001's wires (great person buy from him now!) All going into a 2000 Sentra Posted Fri Jul 08, 2005 2:19 am: - Okay, first off the speakers: I was kinda iffy on how these things would perform. But kicker, i know makes awesome stuff, and was the cheapest "good" 6.5" speaker i could find. Here is the left one with one of my ghetto jigsawed baffles and the right: First impression, for 60 bucks, these speakers ROCK! although the highs are a lil harsh (titanium tweet) but they were as clear as a hawaiian ocean shore. Posted Fri Jul 08, 2005 2:20 am: - Next off The Subs: 10" IDQ V2 x2 From hearing around these forums that ID has some of THE best SQ subs around, i wanted to find out for myself how good these really sound. Well IMO these subs DO have the best SQ from any sub ive heard (well except the Kappa VQ which costed a whole lot more). Words cannot describe how amazing these subs really are in small sealed enclosure. As for loudness, well, they get almost as loud as my 112" ported LI . However it shook the whole freakin car!! i can only imagine a medium sized ported box for these :yumyum:. For 75 bucks each... speechless Posted Fri Jul 08, 2005 2:21 am: - Next The amp: USamps IS 4085 I dun care what pple think... This amp is SEXY!!! umm letsee hehe where do i start? this amp just blows my mind, period. No partiality, NONE! this amp is AMAZING!! the day before i hooked up the 2 same idq's to my viper 1200.1 (keep in mind a class D mono) and fed them a good 300w each @ 2 ohms (the review i posted last night) the sq was good, and it got loudish. today, i hooked the idq's to the USamps IS 4085 (a 4 channel class A/B). This thing is rated at 135w x 4 @ 2 ohms. I have to get this thing benched cuz Absolutely NO freakin way this only pushes 135/channel. I do not understand WHY or HOW. The subs were louder. not just a little louder.... EXREMELY LOUDER. like almost hurt my ears louder. and the clarity of the bass coming out of the subs was phenominal. iz like the sq raised 3 notches. I dunno how or why... it just is. For the lowest line in the USamps lineup and to think the same amp is also pushing a pair of coaxes, its amazing... i cannot wait to try the merlin and the AX. Posted Fri Jul 08, 2005 2:21 am: okay enough reviews here is a completed pic: and a pic of his vs. mine my setup was louder, but his sounded SOO much better. All in all for my 2nd install... it was a SUCCESS (except for that stupid tweeter whine that showed up 30 minutes later)! I want his setup so bad now. hehe

hes laughin at me cuz of my ignorance

thas rite... i fergot about powerbass, SI, and Soundsplinter. all competing with eachother heh.
-

-
