I know Sundown has one... http://www.youtube.com/user/arawndark http://www.youtube.com/user/Derrick824

I'm sure quite a few people on here have BTL's. But since your already getting Sundown amps, might as well check into the Sundown Woofers. I hear the Z15"s sound very good on music, and can be had cheap right now.
-
I know you can fit 2 15"s in a good box in the trunk. Why are you so stuck on the Havoc's though? JW

Current system lol SAZ-2000 Guts Paper in the amp?!?!?!?! RE MT 18"s RE MT 18" next to a Wal-Mart Pioneer 10" Stuff in my room

Just put RMS power on it and it will pound and last a long time.

How do I remove the door panels from a 2001 Toyota Corrola? I would like someone who has done it a few times to help me with this. I have to install a friends new speakers into her car tomorrow and want to know exactly how to remove them.

XS vs Optima
bassahaulic replied to Ndnkobra's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'm just really looking to power a 1200 watt system without any voltage drops, and if i ever need to in the future, possibly upgrade to 2000 max. I probably should do the big 3 upgrade first, but planning ahead never hurts. If the big 3 upgrade isn't enough for the flickering lights to stop, then an after market battery will have to do. You will ALWAYS have voltage drop until your start making more power then you system is using. And more batteries don't create power, just store it. The only part on a car that makes power is the alternator, so if you want NO drop then you either need a bigger alt or another one of larger size then the stock one. And btw, From what I have seen the XS power batts have more storage then the Optima's. -
I'm my opinion you should do 6-7 cubes tuned to 35Hz, sub firing up behind passenger and port out the side behind driver.
-
I think you should tune to 35Hz, as most rap music is above that and you don't really have enough cone area IMO to pound really low lows. Rushrun and I both have Rams similar to yours, I did a wall with 2 RE MT 18"s. He has done quiet a few boxes in his. The best thing you can do it build a false floor in the rear for the box to sit on. As for port/sub placement, we will wait for Rushrun to post his test results to see what is best for these truck.

If you want to try some 8"s, take a look into the new Sundown X8"s. They are on pre-sale right now for a great price, And they look to be pretty nice so far.
-
You attach more 8awg to already attached wires then wire them to the amp.
-
I guess it's time to bring this back. And get it up to date. Most recent thing that has happened has been the SAZ-2000D. Made a huge difference in the truck, and I gained 1.5db from it.

x3 I want some too.

Nice scores indeed!! Off relatively low power for the score. I am very impressed!! :-D I need to make my Team Mate, from Team South, go to Finals next year. He is in SB4 as well.

best spl headunit
bassahaulic replied to Megavanman's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Your not very nice. He's right though that term is amusing, whats the best to one person is not the best to someone else. People should start asking what product is geared to their needs instead of simply whats best? The best headunit could be $2,000 but does that mean he needs it no, does it means he wants it no; so even if someone told him the best headunit and he didnt want it then this topic would be a waste. Which is why i it in quotes. -

best spl headunit
bassahaulic replied to Megavanman's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The "best" SPL Headunit as far as I have been told is some Eclipse radio, and older one, I can't remember the model number. Edit: It's the Eclipse 5506, an 8V Dead head. That as far as I know won't clip. -
Blasphemy!!! Never to much power.

Can I get a pic of the tuning side of the 3500D
bassahaulic replied to forsellb's topic in Sundown Audio
I'm pretty sure the 1500D, 2000D, and 3500D. All have the same general tuning selections. http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/products/amplifiers/saz-1500d.html -
As the topic says I am looking for any and all tips to improve my SPL. After some REAL quick testing that I'm not to sure was accurate. I was told I was doing a 143.5 Legal @ 32Hz. I believe the 32Hz part, but I'm not to sure about the numbers. So any tips, tricks, or ideas you have. Throw them my way. oh and BTW I know I need more power. I'm working on that detail:

It's old news now, but what happened to the thread where Bacus went off on M5?
-
As far as I remember the SAZ is rated at 12.6 volts, and Fosgates are rated at 14.4. So if you think you can maintain 14.4v with no drop then the 4k is for you.

I would go Sundown, as the CS is top-notch. And product is also amazing.
