Voltage Drop When The Car Comes 2 A Stop
bassahaulic replied to Truconcept's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
What's happening is when you come to a stop and your idle drops, the alternator is no longer spinning fast enough to field so it in effect, turns off. A smaller pulley should fix that. P.S. Powerbastards alts are awful. lol -
One quick question about alternators...

This whole thread just blew my mind. -

Going to get stupid low, be careful with that much power. -

That layout looks familer. Looking good for sure! -
There will be a difference in ohm load. The MT's are Dual 1's putting each amp at .5ohm. The N3's are Dual 2's, putting each amp at 1ohm daily, and .25 for burps. Should be nice!

Going to be getting some Fi N3 18"s

Uh oh, looks like the RE MT 18"s will be going away. oh snaps.

Tuning frequency for daily and competition
bassahaulic replied to NighthawkFG's topic in Fi Technical
For "Competition" the boxes are never really "tuned" Per-say, the ports are used to control Impedance rise and the size of the box and vehicle itself determine the peak frequency. -
The Singer alternator is now 100% working, and kicking ass. With both D9's in before I messed a sub up I was getting into the mid to low 11's under full tilt. That might change in a while when I get the new re-cone and can tweak things a little. The Singer mounted directly to the factory bracket in my 01 Non-Turbo, I preferred that over changing the whole bracket.
-
I have a few little updates. One being, I got a small Kinetik HC600 to put the Audiosystem amp on to act as a buffer between the huge pull of the 2 D9's and the amp. Also getting a 80 amp Stinger Isolator to make it 100% unaffected. Also, I metered the PT with just one working 18" and a single D9 powering it, just for shits and giggles. And MY RE-CONE IS OTW!!!!!!!!!!

Wiring RF 4x6 with RF P1T-S Tweets PLS HELP!
bassahaulic replied to Truconcept's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I got 1" tweeters cause theres a spot in my door for them to replace the factory I have no intentions of running the 4x6 as a midrange Im running two hifonics brz1200 on two lanzar opti1232D so trying to use the 4x6 as a midrange would be silly, I know this My OP is the whats the best way to wire these speakers to my amp without seeing magic smoke from mismatched impendance or anything else Not SQ guesses, thanks tho I still dont know if the crossovers that come with the tweeters suffice as a passive crossover? if running a tweet and 4x6 parallel, does it matter which speaker i wire first to the amp? should i be like fuck stereo and seperate them because of impendance diff? Idk the impendance on either the tweet or 4x6 -ty What else will the 4x6" be beyond a midrange/highend speaker? The crossovers that came with it are just that, crossovers, stopping bass from getting to your tweeters. No, just as long as they are both connected you will be fine. And hell no!! Run stereo, the ohm load will work out to 2ohm stereo which the amp is perfectly capable of doing. -
Man come on, how you gonna recommend a nice SQ based sub to pair with an amp like that?

Wiring RF 4x6 with RF P1T-S Tweets PLS HELP!
bassahaulic replied to Truconcept's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Holy crap a bunch of dumbass answer in here. If you wire one 4x6" and one tweeter per channel it'll work perfectly, and sound just fine. I've done that EXACT setup in a few customers cars and they are always tickled pink. Just make sure to get the L/R position correct. -
None of my subs work despite different setups
bassahaulic replied to mlcantin's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So everything is hooked up right, and everything works right, yet you have no sound? Just checking I'm not a retard. -
8000K 55watt DDM Tuning HIDs for 2007 Explorer
bassahaulic replied to Sencheezy's topic in Product Reviews
Glad you like them! I lov emy DDM Tuning lights, I have them in all three vehicles. As far as the relay goes, yes, you have a relay built into your hi/low setup. -
adjusting voltage?
bassahaulic replied to On3Hundr3dProof's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Whine FROM the alternator is usually Diodes going/gone out. -
Anyone else think it's weird the Tantrics just magically handle more power then all these other companies?

idk man!! lol With a 270 amp alt, he better crank that stere too!! haha -
adjusting voltage?
bassahaulic replied to On3Hundr3dProof's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'd take that off man, that's getting dangerous to the ECU. It isn't designed for that high of a voltage. -
DD M3b or Sundown saz-3500d V.2
bassahaulic replied to slidestarr's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I love DD amps, very few amps are built better. And I WOULDN'T say Sundown is one of them....
