Box looks fine man. And for all you people claiming "To small port" If you would take into consideration the wood is .75" wide and the port is clearly larger then a single piece of MDF. Looks to me like it's at the very least 2.25" wide and as tall as the box is. So with a 12" going into the box, it at the the least would be 13" in between the top and bottom layer of MDF. So, 2.25 x 13" = 29.25^2 of port. More then enough.

Mine used to do that alot, if you have a HPF turn it up a tad. Try to reduce bass going into the crossover.
