    LI 12's sealed?

Originally you stated that you had the IDQ's and they were not low or loud enough, the KOB in a ported enclosure done properly is going to do just that ,and you can run a single driver with 1-1.5k rms easily, and acheive very good results , they are basically like the DR which are basically LOUD SOUND QUALITY subs with a shorten motor. As far as how much better than the LI's , running 2 LI's sealed vs 1 KOB ported, the output would probably be very similar with the same amount of power , but you will be able to get louder/ lower with the ported enclosure, and save a little cash buying just the one instead of 2 but if you just want to stay sealed the LI's are a good choice, I was just trying to give you a good second option. If you are asking if 2 KOB's sealed vs 2 LI's sealed , KOB wins

    LI 12's sealed?

Who told you the KOB mounting depth was 8" I 've got the KOB 12" sitting in front of me and the mounting depth is 6 3/8", the DR mounting depth is close to 8", the KOB uses a shorten up motor assembly, using 2 larger slugs instead of 3 like the DR, I think tommy had to have under 6.5" and only .75ft3 per driver They also use a 3"flat wound coil asssembly like the DR/DP

    Sorry I meant OPTI1535d not the 1532
  5. I think this is another Sound Around brand ( ie. Pyramid, Legacy ,American Pro,Lanzar , etc. )

    Loudest Sealed 12's

Call or Email IA, they are made in 12" 15" and 18", and don't hold me to this but, I think the mounting depth is 6.5" and they work in .75 - 1.4 cuft3 sealed I could help you , but only if you reside in the great state of Tennessee

    DP 21 Comparison/Info

I agree the weight doesn't always tell the tale and buy the way the shipping weight on a DP21 is 68lbs , and since you asked about the comparision between the DD , The 9500 series have a very hard sound , and in most peoples opinion aren't very freindly to any thing other than test tones , the DP's aren't that way they will tune very low and get real mean doing it , if you are looking for a daily ground pounder / demo look no further , since we built the demo for the DP 21 it is by far the biggest crowd pleaser, we have to wipe the drool off it everyday, most people reactions are ( that is @#^*ing huge, and HOLY @#$^ that's loud ). And yes you can get options , but as IA says they already come fully loaded

The 1533 is geared more toward high test tones 40-65 hz, The OPTI1532d would be better for daily use, they were fairly nice drivers / 3" flat wound coil, 300 oz motor ,with a TC copy cast basket. They come in a dual 1 ohm coil , and what testing i did with them they would take a fair amount of abuse, there were several guys in MECA that put up pretty good numbers with the 1532

    Loudest Sealed 12's

The KOB's get real nasty in sealed enclosures, but they also work very well in ported apps 3" flat wound coil, shorten motor with 2 larger slugs instead of 3 like the DR. Just what I know

    LI 12's sealed?

Maybe a single KOB 12" ported in around 2ft3 with Aeros ported to the side

    dp power handling

I just wanted to give you a heads up, this doesn't mean that they won't last a very long time, Nick designs and builds one of the best drivers out there, I ran over 5k to a single DP for 4 months in one of our demos, with very good results, and very little fatigue considering.

    dp power handling

There again it is dependent on alot of factors, but generally they will need new soft parts from fatigue in alot shorter period of time overpowering them 2x or more. My point is you will shorten the life of the soft parts , how much is up to the install, user, and application

    dp power handling

For short periods of time you can put well over 3k rms without a problem, You could run them daily with that kind of power you would just need them reconed every now and again, depending on enclosure volume, port volume, tuning , type of material played, how hard , for how long, etc. and assuming it is installed correctly, but they get loud with rated power , so I wouldn't recommend getting too carried away.

    First Time competing Scores!

Maybe a 20.1 @ 1ohm, You shouldn't have any problems as long as you keep it clean, should move that score up nicely, just my sugg.

    I need my ia20.1 repaired

just give it a little time, I'm sure they will get back with you about it

    IA Death Row 15"

We compared them with the DD 3515e , swaped them right out of the enclosure . 3.75ft3 tuned to 34hz, with an M3 @ 1 ohm , and the DR's were a lot cleaner, and seemed to handle the power easily Once they broke in we were extremly impressed with there performance just my two cents.

    Recone a Hyfonics Goliath

Hifonics won't have recones for the goliath subs , and really could care less ,at least that was the way it was put to me.
