    Hey thumper.

hey, just wondering if you would be able to get a enclosure done and shipped to me before June 12th? Comp on that day. I'm in northern BC.
  2. ok, heard great things about the Nightshades so I want to try them. See many people putting up great numbers with any sundown product. I'm probably gonna buy them then.
  3. Ok, so the only people who have the NSv2's in stock right now is Wooferetc? Also I'm guessing that I should be louder with two 18's then two 12's, just with the cone area. Both in optimal enclosures. Just wondering because two 12's will fit behind the rear seats and the 18's I will have to fold the seats down to get the space. Which doesn't bother me, don't really like giving free rides to people all the time lol. So 4k rms should push those NSv2's nicely. Seems like many people say they could take more.
  4. What would be the difference in the Zv2 and a NSv2? Which one would put out better #'s with my amp. I'm running a Crossfire vr4000d. So the subs will be seeing about 4000watts rms to the pair.
  5. I want it louder now, I'm used to it already. lol. What should I do? Put something in the box to raise the tuning to make it louder? could I just put some mdf pieces inside the box?
  6. Youtube messed up the audio on the vids and quality. Turned out differently then my Original HD Vids. But still alright. Let me know what you guys think.
  7. heres another taken a day before those other ones. This is on music.
  8. thanks. heres what I did today since the 1" wooden dowels didn't hold it. more vids tomorrow hopefully. not to sure because of how much it rains. I shortened the rods too just a bit ago.
  9. yea 56sqinch of port and it's 3.8cuft tuned to 32.14hz with 1" wooden dowels and after displacements. 1.5inch mdf face. But now I have to fix the box tomorrow. Get some threaded rods because the box actually ripped the dowels from the sides of the box and took all the glue and some wood with it lol. I thought my subs were bottoming out but it was the box flexing.
  10. same as sig, here you go:

    this look alright?

Yea I listen to rap/hiphop and some rock/metal stuff. I'm running about 4-4600watts rms to the two 12's. I built many boxes before and had them tuned low and high. Never tried a double baffle tho. I know what it is. I should be able to cut the holes easy right with a jigsaw? Like when there both glued together. But I may put a little bracing in the box like a couple of wooden dowels. So that should raise the tuning a bit.

ok this might be my final design. I used re calc to get the port length and used the other calc to give me my final specs including displacement.

    this look alright?

that's the thing tho. my box dimensions are maxed out right now. and barely got enough volume in the box. I'm wondering if it will hold up well anyway. I could just put a couple of wooden dowels in there too. Take up some more space tho.

Like does it look like a good box lol. Like the port area and do I need to have bracing. The subs I'm going to be using in this enclosure is two custom 12" subs with DC level 5 soft parts. I just want it to be a loud daily driver would the 32hz tuning be good?

( free enclosure ) 10" Dual Chamber Flared Port

I'm thinking about it. I'm in BC as well. How much to V8J1M5?
  16. I have the 880PRS and I like it very much. Don't want to spend extra money on the Imprint for a Alpine deck. You could get a cheap cable for Ipod on the 880PRS. I went with the more expensive adaptor though so I could charge my Ipod as well. That was like around $130 Canadian. Still cheaper then the Alpine stuff.
  17. wonder if I should install my phoenix gold bass cube? we have to play a song supplied from the judges for spl and sq categories. You guys think it would make a difference?
  18. Call up DC Power. Ohio generator is probably the best out there though. They should have something for you. I used to have a sunfire with a 2.2L.
  19. yeah I got my alt to batt 1/0 wire installed today. it was a pita. I don't see any change really in voltage though. I guess it will now just charge the batts quicker when the voltage drops?
  20. I think my current wire from the alt is 8 gauge. It goes into a solenoid or something before the wire goes to the battery. I can't upgrade the wiring to 1/0 straight from the alternator to battery. Since my alternator is placed in the middle side of the engine. I tried getting to it but is impossible. Gotta pull the engine up or take most of the parts off it. So frustrating. Would it matter much about the alternator to batt wire size? Since the output on the alt isn't switched I'm just running stock alt.
  21. The Stinger SVMB voltage meter hopefully is here soon. I ordered one in blue. I watch my voltage with my deck as well. 880prs.
  22. I'm going to be using my crossfire vr4000d on two 12" custom built ssackett subs. So 4-4600 watts rms.
  23. Hooked up my batts today as well. They were sitting for about a week. Wires are not connected, both batts by themselves. rear batt front batt Batts connected to each other. Front batt rear batt Rear batt voltage at idle. Pics of batts installed, many wires lol.
