Ouch, that will cost you $1500? You need to start over, but tell us your goals instead of an equipment list. The only things on your list I'd buy is the Kicker amp kit and the PDX, but only if I really needed a small footprint amplifier. I've used them in numerous installs and never had any noise issue. In fact, I've used the cheapest RCAs known to man and never had a noise issue. I want it LOUD, Listen to rap, i want sound quality, but I want it to beat hard and low. Try the ssashop, or db-r.com: there are big sales and big deals for a limited time now. Why don't you take a look at the SSA sub or the FI ? You can't be disappointed with them! Last point : I am not sure if you need rear speakers, take the money for the 2 sets and just buy a Better one, so you will only need a 2 channel amp for your speakers. TAKE YOUR TIME, read a lot, do some good research, and maybe you will be satisfied with your choices!!!! Good luck I've thought about FI or SSA but they won't fit under my rear seat. Why would you NOT get rear speakers? get a seat lift kit from lmiwelding.com. you can fit alot more subs under there after the kit

Would a US AMPS MD1D (underrated 1200w @ 1 ohm) be to big for one IXL 10.2.2? Will be putting it in a ported box not sure what size yet so any recommendations would help. Thanks

also how do the MAW 10s compare to the IXL 10.2.2?

yeah im trying to find other designs but most of them say they can fit subs with 5.5-5.875... but if i have to there is a $155 seat lift that lifts my rear seats 2.5"

Alright well i cant post the dimensions and i cant post a picture but here are the dimensions http://www.f150online.com/forums/speakers-...-home-made.html it is the three blue pictures. that box will hold 2 subs but those are the dimensions for the biggest box i can fit under my rear seats

sounds great. but i still have some more questions: 1. for a ported box it says .8 cuft tuned to 36Hz but i was wanting to tune it to 33Hz so how big should my box be? 2. the mounting depth is 5.5" but do i need to leave an extra inch for the pole vent? this is going under my f150 truck back seats so i am limited on space

Alright first off sorry for so many topics about all the subs. Im just in the process of deciding and im all over the place lol. But i think i have narrowed it down to either 1 12" Bl with BP Power and Flatwind Coil or 1 15" Q with BP Power. Both will be ported. I will use the US Amps MD 1D (underrated 1200w @ 1 ohm). I drive a 2004 Ford F-150 and will be taking out one of my back seats so i have about 7cuft to work with. As of now i am leaning towards the Q because it is about $70 cheaper and because i also listen to not only rap but country alot... Just want to hear some thoughts and opinions. Thanks

Yeah, I've heard about the new BL's but i'm not sure whats different about them. Is there a post that explains them I can look at? About a 1.25" of magnet diameter. Comes standard with pole chamfer and a copper coil vs paying for the chamfer as an option and the older standard coil. Added the hyper pole chamfer which is similar in geometry to the compression plug in the BP option of the Qs and SSDs, although this is integral to the pole (machined all as one piece) and not just a machined aluminum part added. Now has the urethane Fi logo dome tag on the back of the motor as well. Its also 10lbs heavier as well. wait if it comes standard with the pole chamfer shouldnt it handle more than 1000w rms?

so your subs have enough room down there? will they hit the bottom of the seat if the seat is down and you have them turned up?

Umm i mean i want something where i can turn it up and it be loud and hit the lows... but i also want something where i can listen to some country and not be swallowed in bass lol

what amp would be better for a 12" Bl with the BP Power? US Amps MD 1D (underrated at 1200w @ 1ohm) or US Amps MD 2D (underrated at 1500w @ 1ohm)... Also would the flatwind coil be worth the extra $20? And also what would be a good box size? I know it recommends anywhere from 1.8-2.5... but what would be about perfect?

1 12" Q with BP Power on a Rockford Fosgate 1500w amp wired at 1 ohm (so the sub will see 1500w) or 2 10" SSDs with flatwind coils and a US Amps MD 2D (so the subs will see around 750-900w a piece)... Both would be sealed setups. Thanks for the help

i would love to go ported but i cant. these subs are going under my truck back seats. the only way i could go ported would be 1 10" SSD ported... which maybe isnt a bad idea come to think about it lol

how does it not make sense? im asking for which one would be louder. im not asking for the loudest setup in a ported box just want to know which one will be louder. i listened to my friends 12" q today in a sealed box with 800w and wanted to know how 2 10" ssds would compare... maybe i should have said that in the beginning but i thought someone would just answer the question
