Well like I said I am kind of new to seald on the dash but, I have done over a 54 at the head with 5 cubes and 4 four inch ports at 52hz. I have done over a 53 with three four inch ports. I have 8 and built every box I tested for 8 and took them out one at a time of course I re tuned each time but I always came out louder with 4 or less and with two shocker sigs which I think is a little more motor than a ns. I know it does not seem right but I only care what the meter says. I never tested these set ups a ton seald on the dash but was over a 55 the few times I did and was very close to a 60 in the floor. I am now running two 15's in 3 cube tubes with 8 inch ports in a wall and am over a 57 with four sundown 1500's. If he was building slot I would definatly go with more port but your best friend when trying to get louder is a term lab you have to find what works for you. Also as many have said there are always db's in the vehicle it self you have to find.

I think 4 areos is plenty for 2 15's however I just recently started tuning for the dash. When I was doing meca and getting metered at the headrest 4 fours was loudest for me and somtimes only 3 depending on the configuration. I think you could pick up a few tenths by going to two 6 inch ports. I would also defenatly tune higher as those cars are gonna like somthing right in the area Jacob said. I would try taking the box you have and try different port lengths I have had setups drop or gain 2+ db with tuning/port length. You also might try taking some volume out of the box.

www.modifiedpowerwheels.com you can swap gear boxes, motors (they use rc car motors), use bigger motors, i beleive they have a 300 series motor and you can put in a 500, or it might be 500stock then go to a 700, i forget, theres a ton of stuff you can do, also wheel size effects gearing. Havent messed with my 2 for a while, my daughter is getting older and doesnt ride them much. BTW I ride hers (with upgrades) and i weigh 150lbs. It goes no problem. Cool thanks for the info. But the powerwheels has about 300 pounds worth of box, glass and gear on it and it rides fine with the kid in it. They have Meca kids and the car has to move under its own power. right now we are doing a 44.3 off music with it. My daughter is seven and started refusing to go to shows unless she could compete too so here we are. A frickin powerwheels with 1000 dollars worth of gear.

That is all very true. Sorry I think to much like a competitor a lot of times. -
Cool I think it may work. I am gonna add the 15 pounds and see. Thanks

Dragging this up from the dead. It's so close I can't wait I will be there representing sundown with a few of my teammates. I look forward to meeting many of you!

I travel a lot as well. That is what makes it fun build all week to get away for a while. I know money issues stop me from time to time though. At any rate traveling is half the fun.

I am really interested in the weight on this speaker as i am looking for somthing a little better for are powerwheels. I need to know the weight so I can make sure it will still cary everthing including the kid. I know that seems like a stupid question but I have to make sure it will still move under it's own power. Thanks

2 12 nightshades capability of getting louder options

12's can get very loud. I ran two 12's off an old earthquake phd3 all year in 06 and was able to 50's everywhere I went. The loudest I got with the two 12 set up was about a 51.5. When done right almost anything can get loud. If you wanna save the money and time just play with different box styles and sizes. -
The differnce in cone between 3 12's and two 15's is small but the 15's will have more surface. I would say the power would probably even them out if not make the 12's louder. However two woofers will be a lot easier to deal with.

Congrats!!

It would be hard to say which would be louder. A lot will depend on your vehicle, your box, and your power. Two 15's would be more surface than 3 12's so I would probably opt. for the 15's however the extra power with the 12's may equal them out. Either way for a daily set up I would go 15's.

What does this weigh i would love to try one on our powerwheels.

Hopefully I will have some stuff to send soon.
