heres my big 3, you wont need as much ground as you do power wire in my case also save some money and make your own terminals out of some copper tubing ^^
-
What am i supposed to expect? i'm really hoping to place. What music should i play/tones? i have a fi bl 15 in a 4.5 cuft box tuned to 32 hz a sundown audio 3000d at 2 ohms, big 3 in 1/0 wire and 1/0 wire to the amplifer this is my first thing so i'd really like some pointers/etc i drive a 95 lumina 4 door

im pretty sure they have TL meter, if not i'll go do a different shop we have a couple around where i live.
-
thanks alot for the information. i'll go down to my local shop and see if they'll meter me and see where i peak so i can get it in advanced .
-
Just do it with your stereo off, on your alternator there should be a boot covering a post where your alt puts out + current, and then touch your - terminal of your DMM to the chassis since it is ground, then check your battery so plus to plus and then negative to negative.

apparently gorilla glue is really good for binding wood together
-
when you use a thumb drive it looks through it to find ALL the songs, the more files + folders it has the longer it takes, and its obnoxiously long.
-
Do this for us Measure your voltage with a DMM at the alt at the front battery and in the back all while idling also. tell us what you get after that

Thanks! Hopefully i'll get my new SA 3kd soon, maybe by the 20th i really hope so. i wanna be competing at this High School Comp so i can own some people ^^

Fantastic, i think i got... 10 or 12 out of a 6 dollar pipe and they're pretty big i personally think they're easier to put the wire in and press it down, also you can make them as long, as short, the size of the hole, quite nice.
-
they do group buys so it's pretty cheap http://www.dxhid.com/

Finished up my big 3, took about 5 hours due to the fact i made everything, the terminals and such Alt ground run from alt to + battery terminal Terminal i had to make because the dumb bolt is way down, made of copper tubing that has been smashed and bent slightly with a bolt on the top of ot shaped like an L everything nice n' clean That's all for now folks
-
do you have an ipod/itouch/iphone? because the IDa-x100-300 series from alpine are pretty phenomenal in my opinion they're fairly cheap, no cd though
-
have you done a big 3 yet? most people say that helps a TON
-
but sense it is such a low frequency you shouldn't be able to hear it. i'd worry about THD with things like highs/mids.
-
No there wont be any noticeable difference (i don't think) if there is it would inaudible, the amp may run a litle warmer at 1 ohm, but that makes sense it would be pushing more power because of lower resistance. if it does run to warm for your comfort get a 12volt dc fan on it and you'll be ok --Julian

thanks i love mine too, but the banking function is really obnoxious though.

I just ordered my 3kd, and it will be shipped in 7-10 days, it's probably the best 555 dollars i've ever spent. as soon as i receive it i am going to write a review and what not and i know it'll be sick!
