I was talking to my father who is an Electrical Engineer and has extensive experience with things of this nature. He says they're probably soldered on the bottom also.
-
oh yeah i got it repaired awhile back ago, before i sold my BL, it still works and beats but since i sold my BL it's been in my room. Thats why i decided to take a peek.

I'd get a Projector but i'd be worried about burning out the bulb. At school They have projectors and one of my teachers said one of their bulbs are aprox 500-800 each

My Knukonceptz RCA's have a remote wire built in them they're pretty cheap. i believe the lead wire is aprox 16-18 gauge wire, pretty small too

Some of the members do come off arsehoish, but i wouldn't take any offence, some of the most arsehoish people are some of the most intelligent, you just have to be consice and give us good info -
you could also buy another sub, or you can get your sub reconded to dual 2

Ah, what kind of power are you going to be running to them? I agree with Jay-cee, a small crazy loud set up would be nice, and less expensive. what vehicle will it be going in?

Hifonics BXi 2610D does 1700 watts at 2 ohms for $359.99 from sonicelextronix,
-
Agreed, the sundown already puts out 2000+ watts on a good electrical, if one isn't enough buy a second Saz-2000d. Trust me you don't want that surprise. It'll make a grown man cry. buy the Saz-2000d from db-r Linky Link Link 382+ shipping refurbished amp. You can try it by all means, you just want to watch out and as soon as you drop it down below 1 ohm, its void of warrenty.

Im the smaller setup individual who likes for it to get loud, that is more impressive to me. To me it is a lose lose situation if you have 16 subs and break 160 because it should break it and then if you dont then why didnt you? So that is how I look at it, but everyone has there own opinions. To me the most impressive setups I seen is the dude on here who break 150's with two tens and now Jacob with the 8" doing over 150db's, now that is impressive. That is very true. you could do a small set up with gobs of power. I saw a guy at a local shop with two tens, people were thinking he had 2 15's but when he folded his seat down it revealed two tens, which is very impressive. What woofers/amps will you be using?

Sundown doesn't cover .5 ohm loads on their amps anymore, i wouldn't risk frying a $500 amplifier.

Especially if you keep your friends in check and they respect you that wont happen at all. Clean up when something spills and you wont have that problem and that is what floor mats are for to keep the floor even cleaner (you can always buy new mats if they get dirty but not a whole layer of carpet for your floor). Many A-drunken nights, I'm still in school, this is my first car, i'm not really too concerned with it. I got the car like that (for free) I didn't complain.

I need help building a wall in my 95 lumina, i don't want to pay 1 grand for a wall that i could build myself. Does anyone near Kansas city missouri know how to build walls? and willing to help a fellow SSA member?

Are you the only owner?

Typically people come to see the insane SPL set ups, And what they can do I'd rather go see an ugly vehicle shake my brains than a very clean install. Granted the install of a SPL vehicle must be pretty nice too. Why not do something Loud and nice?
-
1. Yes, quite often actually. 2. do you honestly think i occupy my backseat? 3. Most of that is oil stains. which will not come out, friends like to fuck with my shit in the back. 4. its almost 15 years old.

5 channel Amps ?
Julian replied to Billz428's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
spend a couple hundred more and get a Zed Audio Leviathan If i'm not mistaken you can run 4 for mids/highs and bridge channel 5+6 and use it as sub stage amp "Channels 5+6 will do full range or Low Pass (mono or stereo) with a variable subsonic crossover." Sexy amplifier! -

I have a comp set of Memphis (see sig for info) and they sound very good to my ears, morel are fantastic but thats if you wanna spend 500+ a set, polk sound nice for the price. Personally i think MB quart DSH 213 sound good for the price too. -
If the company doesn't cover it i wouldn't. you wouldn't want a Smokey surprise. However if you're burping and you know your impedance rise (if) i wouldn't worry about it. but you must know what you're doing. Also the amp has "soft protect"(basically like mute) and "hard protect" (shutdown, 8 sec cycle)

ported handles more power and is more efficient.

Blowthrough box design for sedan - opinions needed
Julian replied to the mange's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
you could do a bandpass box if your woofer does sealed boxes also -
Thanks, everything was sanded down to a bare metal sheen, just shortened it up due to the fact that i needed some wire also because it makes it look cleaner Btw, i posted a reply to my wall thread i posted with some details/pics
