KnuKonceptz wiring
Julian replied to Don Ganso's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I run the KLMX cable, the kolosus 1/0 wire will handle upwards of 300 amps and the KLMX will handle a max of 250 amps. unless your system is quite large you shouldn't be pulling a constant 250-300 amps -

Vids or gtfo

that should be within the specs with BP option, it allows to handle 300-500 more watts, make sure you're not clipping it. be wise with your gains and set it with an oscilloscope or a DMM

Like Miller said, He buys them burned up and gets them sent to him, he repairs them then shipped to you. It only took about 3-4 days for my saz-3000d then 3-4 days shipping.

Pics of the BIGGEST ZED AMP MADE. . . . . . . . . . .
Julian replied to HiFonicsHorder1's topic in ZED Audio
what happened with the direct connect to the amp with its own wire? did it just die out like an old fashion? -
My dad who is an electrical engineer who told me not to solder. i just use my vice i got at home depot for about ~25 bucks then if it wasnt quite crimped well enough i hammer it down. then i used heavy duty electrical tape.
-
I really hope you were joking. oh god
-
watch out solder (lead) isn't at conductive as a crimped terminal

if it's not covered. then don't do it. the lower the ohm rating more power pulled and if you can give it the power it needs it will fail, maybe not in a second but eventually it will if you don't know what you're doing.. it's just not wise to do it.

I ordered my 270 amp alternator from Dc Power Engineering on 12/18/09. They got my payment and I have yet to receive any information. I've called them and left messages with no avail. For the people who bought alternators from Dc Power Engineering how long has it taken to get a shipped notification? It's been almost two weeks and I'd like to get it in (Who wouldn't?). At first their customer service was Grade A but now i'm starting to see its not as great as i thought. They say they'll return calls and such. Even if they didn't have any information on it it would be nice for them to call and simply say "we don't have any information". But I guess it will be another week. Then after shipping it may be here by the New Year.
