Take some time to get used to it, when i changed my setup a little bit it wasn't the same, but as soon as i was accustomed to it i loved it. Also port placement, sub arrangement, etc will have an effect. Try a new box, Subs up port back like a CRX box, i think that would be the best bet for a SUV.

Not too bad of deals, you should try hourly also. Most shops charge 20-50+ dollars for a single session. -
I've always liked that motor design chromed.

Sub/Port firing option? which would be louder?
Julian replied to imhungnurnot's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Up front as in by the windshield? kick? my head? lol I'd like to give it a shot, but I'm trying to do as much planning as I can since 3/4 MDF is 30 bucks a freaking sheet! I remember when I started building (about 4 years ago) 3/4 was like $22.. now the 1/2 is $22.. Price of fuel has gone up, lumber is very heavy thus expensive to ship. -

It's all completely car dependent. Unless you know someone with the same vehicle and has tried multiple locations, we can't tell you for sure. -

Mtx makes their preloaded enclosures using ports like this. A port is a port as long as it has enough port Area and tuning frequency typically doesn't mAtter if it's square, triangle, flared etc. As long As you have those two you're okay. But I think it's just a thing with Mtx besides them I know of no one else who does their ports like that. Nor do I know how to calcualte it
-
Has anyone ever seen a triangular port with a rectangular opening??? WTF!?!?!? MTX does ports like that on their preloaded enclosures.

I'm tired of seeing all of these tastic systems in my area. Anyone in the Kansas City/Kearny/Liberty/Etc close locations in Missouri have a system worth talking about? If so I'd like to meet up with you guys/gals and show off what i've done and see what you guys have done!

Planet Audio Amplifiers?

pre order a saz 2500d for 525 dollars, supposed to be out real soon. -
lead slap is very hard to achieve with the BTL's since the lead is tied down, i guarantee it's bottoming out. Listen or don't listen, when your sub reaches its mechanical limit and breaks, don't say i didnt tell you so.
-
welcome. I'm outside of Kansas City.
-
The subwoofer is reaching its mechanical limits, dial down your gains. you'll destroy the woofers if you continue.

well.. flat cone would = less cone mass. hmm.. well Jacob you have me lost SPILL!
