"this is the best sounding subwoofer i've ever had" Of course it is... you went from DD to a low tuned monster. Duh

Overall... the ambient noise from outside is still very low, however while playing my radio loud and closing it all up it's pretty much quiet. Although the car it's self is quite quiet. I could be driving down the highway going 80 with the windows down, roll them up and it's quiet pretty much instantly very little road noise. Great product, very thick, goes on easy i suggest SDS to ANYONE who is looking for an alternative to SecondSkin, Dynamat, Etc. I thank don for such great CS and for making such a great product, overall it took me about 3.5-4 hours total for both doors i may be adding more to the tight places but i have yet to decide. The only negative was it's sharp as razor blades and it's difficult to cut with a utility knife! Both cannot be prevented but that's a good thing!

By far the easiest door to take apart. factory deadening, it was really gooey and probably the same thickness as heavy duty foil Door mostly complete Complete! Factory deadening, as you can tell very thin foil but lots of a rubber compound, I don't think it's asphalt based because it has little to no odor same as the SDS

I went on one when I was like 10. I think exploring everything yourself would be a lot more fun than doing everything on a schedule and sleeping in a mobile hotel. Might as well join the Navy, save yourself a couple thousand bucks They're actually quite fun, i've been on a few.. all inclusive food, free room service, tons of things to do.. stop off at really cool places.. They're a lot of fun.

Looks great I'd add some foam and a board on top, wrap it in some fabric, then finished. you will have yourself a $2,000 armrest haha.

Seems like manufacturer error.

Looks more like Audiopipe or Pyle than Alpine My cousin has one he bought at downtown.....I want it to tear it up, see if it is pretty good, seen it its pretty heavy looked like a 2.5" coil not to bad just never tested it, I might hit em up right now..... Julian: How do you get a screen shot? Find the Print Screen button (should be located on the top right hand corner of your keyboard). It may be abbreviated to PRNT SCRN or anything like that, but it's the same button. Find the thing (picture, text, etc.) on the web page that you want to copy (print screen). Press the print screen button. If you don't think it worked, press it two more times, just in case. Go to start -> programs -> accessories, and open MSPaint. Click edit on the toolbar in Paint, and point your mouse to PASTE. You should now have what you want in the box in Paint.

I feel ya! What ya waitin' on? The simplest thing, a roller! I want to get started on deadening my doors, and possibly my trunk!

I know more people have this feeling! Maybe Don will weigh in on this!

I wouldn't be worried about it being tight on my Bravox Mids the gap is just as tight as your first one. but... the one with the larger gap is odd... Is it that loose around the entire gold piece? or is it slightly closer to one side than the other?

Lame, the cop was a dick at first, but I explained to him I had just got it and was "testing it out" and he ended up wanting to see it and when I showed him he said "damn thats bad ass" lol, but, any chance this would also make my insurance go up? No, it shouldn't.. it should be a non-moving traffic violation Phew, thank goodness. Thanks again! No problemo. Just be careful.

Hot glue should be more than sufficient

Yeah you have to shake it after a minute or so. You can make your own pop corn in-a-bag Pour the popcorn in the paper bag and fold the top of the bag over twice to close. (Each fold should be 1/2 inch deep; the kernels need room to pop.) Seal the bag with two staples (no more, no less), making sure to place the staples at least 2 to 3 inches apart. Put the bag in the microwave and cook on high power for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the pops are 5 seconds apart. Remove the bag from the oven and open it carefully, avoiding the steam. Pour the popcorn into a bowl and drizzle it with butter, then toss with salt and cheese, if desired. Done that when we don't have store bought popcorn. cheap to, few cents lol.

Battery Question...
Julian replied to Jd377's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
More for your money, the float voltage of a Xs is around 13.4v on the other hand a Kinetik is around 12.4. When buying a battery from say amazon you have to factor in the shipping costs.. You may see the 150 price tag then they don't tell you the shipping is 100 dollars +. I would disagree with your statements. XS power are good batteries, but so are Kinetik. I don't know why, but the XS Power supporters seem to spend a lot of time trying to put down Kinetik's products, but you don't really see the reverse being true. I don't know the float voltage of a XS, but since I had to take my DMM back out to my garage anyways I checked the rest voltage of my 3 or 4 year old HC1800 (that I've never recharged/reconditioned during that time) and it was sitting at 12.9V. Not that float voltage is really an indicator of how well the battery will perform under load anyways. But it seems you are hellbent on "proving" XS Powers superior, apparently even if that means you need to give out inaccurate info.....so I'm not sure I'd trust your XS numbers either. Posting a picture of a swelled Kinetik doesn't prove anything other than abusing a battery will damage it. XS Power batteries will swell when abused aswell, as will any other brand. I'd say it looks more like someone is riding XS pretty hard...... That was in response to what i said. I understand what you're saying. -
Fi suggests always using a SSF. Fi suggests that because they are the ones who have to repair the drivers after some kid tries to play a 15hz tone through their sub in a box tuned to 40hz with 2.5kw on a 1kw rated driver because it impresses their friends and makes the sub move a lot. i would never try that. every time my friends are in my car there like "lets here what your sub can do" and they try to turn it up super loud and turn the bass boost on and i say your going to blow my sub then i turn the bass boost off and turn it down to 24 because my HU can go to 35 so i never turn it past 3/4 volume. Reaching for the volume in my car is a good way to lose a hand... or a longggg walk home

No, it shouldn't.. it should be a non-moving traffic violation something like that.. could be disturbing the peace, probably depends where you are. Most cops don't care if you're out on a highway, just make sure you turn it down when stopped at lights when people are near you. I've only gotten a couple warnings. Kansas city has a harsh way with it, little to no tolerance, Liberty really doesn't care.
