Question about crimping terminals onto 1/0 gauge
Julian replied to threedd97's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical

Some basic electrical questions...
Julian replied to Nubster's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
4 Gauge is typically sufficient up to 1500 watts I'd do one run of 1/0 to the rear, big 3 in 1/0 and then get a distribution block or make one then from the 1/0 jump it up to 4 gauge to both your mids and highs amp to your sub amp. For terminals 1/0 is what you need -
so much wrong with this.

Units with Bluetooth Streaming Option
Julian replied to MKader17's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
some wont do album artwork or song name IIRC -
Why is he better off with a smaller driver? More room for the enclosure and driver to breathe? Tiiiiiiny trunk opening very difficult to fit large boxes through it and if he can't get it through the rear folding seats then he's fucked
-
If his seats do not fold down good luck. He is better off with a smaller sub maybe a 12 or 10"

Single or double din? I know the Alpine iXA-W407 will, it's discontinued by Alpine but you can still get them, that's going to be my next headunit. -
It is not safe at all on a stock electrical.. And that's Dcr... Your actual impedance is 1 ohm. You will have to run it at 2 ohms or void the sundowns' warranty. You should look into a kicker zx1500 since it does 1500 watts at 2 ohms for a resonable price. If you have sufficient electrical you could run it half an ohm, but I don't know how the 1200's handle half ohm loads. Youll be Better off with the kicker amp
