In the 4 bad instances I've read on them, they always have an excuse. I wouldn't call this a bad instance, in all honesty I've had nothing but good experiences with DC. Seems like most alt companies can't Get their act together and go out of business. Sad thing is it's such a good product for a resonable price.

Yeah your probably right. I haven't checked the speaker wire on the sub, if some were loose could that be why its clipping? Just because your amp shuts off doesn't mean the signal is being clipped... And no, if your speaker wires are loose it's getting a bad connection and that could possibly effect output but isn't going to cause clipping. However, if the speaker wires are loose and by chance touch then that may fry some shit and throw your amp into protect. What else could be making the amp shut off? Overheating, short between the speaker connections, wring lower than your amp can handle, Lots of reasons. Recheck your actually wired to 2 ohms not half an ohm. A cheap DMM at either harbor freight or radioshack will run you Rond 20 bucks or less... It's a needed investment

Don't model the BTL woofers... They model awfully, they will always suggest using a tiny box.. Use the reccomened enclosure sizes for them.
