oh yeah i bet you can put a 6k amplifier on it.. but it'll probably never see it due to high inductance.

Sawzall will fix that problem cut the rear deck to accommodate the box and slide it through the seats.

Not too sure how well that would work out in a trunk with two sets of subs on different planes. Trunks get weird with cancellation. If you do not have all of your equipment maybe four 10's would be better. From what I have seen in small trunk setups either four 10's subs up, or two 12's subs forward and sealed from trunk are loudest. Bigger trunks can four 12's and even two 15's or 18's. Remember even if you can build the box in the trunk there has to be airspace around the box for the setup to perform best with subs up port back. I have seen +150db trunk setups with two 12's forward, set as far back in the trunk as possible and also sealed from the surrounding airspace in the trunk. I managed a 145 with a single 15 burping on 3k plus with a trunk setup. I'd suggest two larger woofers or multiple smaller woofers. Port and sub forward pushed all the back typically does well. Also I have seen people cut out the rear deck and do subs up port to the side and get very good numbers. It's all about what your willing to do.

You honestly believe every company designs their woofer? You'd be quite surprised... Fi oems a lot of other companies woofers too. Back on topic Can't wait to hear some details!

Soooo......what happens if I design an enclosure with no peak? Yeah, what he said.. Hell if I know My point was that the enclosure tuning has more important implications than where the enclosure will "peak" (since, ideally it wouldn't have a peak unless you were intentionally designing it to do so for specific purposes). The other important factors are related to cutoff frequency, cone excursion behavior, damping characteristics, impedance response, etc. I now understand.. Explain the significance of port tuning in more depth if you don't mind
-
Box tuning is where most of the frequencies peak at, so basically your loudest frequency will be 35 hz... Make sense?
-
It's not the tuning it's your settings, tuning That low should be able to get extremely low, what is your subwoofer crossed over at?

Get a metal coat hanger and conform to the general contour of the curves for a rough estimate then trace on carboard then cut it to the exact curves.

I believe you are referring to johnecon2001, but I do not know his affiliation is with Hybrid audio. He does, however, run HAT drivers Yes! That's what i meant
