Red Top Optima

That's normal, my dekas run around there. Not many batteries run around 13v resting especially if it's an older battery. -
Knu's OFC vs CCA
Julian replied to MrSlinky's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
From what ive read, CCA can support up to 300 amps of current (depending on length) and pure copper wire can handle 350+ amps (of course depending on length). The CCA is good stuff I've used it with no problem, and Im also now using 2/0 of welding wire. Flexibility is about the same, however the welding cable is much easier to work with it since it is true Awg and not oversized to compensate for the lack of copper, Aka it fits into terminals/fuse blocks easier IMO. -
I'd get universal regardless due to the fact you're able to recone the woofer if you ever get more of them,
-
Hahah hey now! I had to go through basic and tech school.. So that explains a lot of it :pp I should have my saz-2500 within a few weeks. Im not sure how I could get down to 1 ohm with 6 woofs

Sadly the third deka has a bad cell and I'm not quite sure I can do anything about that, but the lugs are schweeet, I'm going to pick some more up since there so easy to get, I get 10% military discount at homedepot so they're not too bad, they bite on to the wire extremely well. @Duran i like doing car audio barefoot what can I say!
-
And yes, I have a plan to keep the batteries from moving about!
-
Let's see, Ammonia, clear nail polish, That's all I can think of. My dad uses those with great success.
-
Bam! Used some hardware again to run it First deka in, ran out of 2/0 for the second. Used the terminals from homedepot! That's all for now folks! Got 7.1 cubes and I'm thinking 6 Fi x's or 6 dcons :3 on a saz-2500 Should be sick
-
FINALLY got free time! Less than 5 bucks a pair from home depot, they're awesome, screw on, copper, and support up to 4/0 :3 What could this be? Test fit, yes that is home electrical fitings! :3 Hmm.. I love my Stang :3 making life easy! 2/0! Easy peasy Cut a weebit to facilitate better clearance Fuse placement, looks good for now! Ran under. Close up Poking through! Lolwut? Stock alt for the win! Hot too!

That's how I've always seen it done, are you doing the ENTIRE panel with plexiglas or just a window?
-
Double the wall with the plexi to 1.5 with two .75 panels then cut the top panel to the size of the plexiglas and leave the bottom 1 inch smaller so the plexiglas will sit in the groove of the bottom then screw or bolt in

does anyone have experience with the e8's
Julian replied to DavidHarner's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Most 10s will fit right at home in an 8s enclosure especially if it's sealed. -

Julian replied to DavidHarner's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Not a huge fan of eDUH. Here answer these questions. What are your space limitations? What's your vehicle? What amp(s) do you plan to use? Will you be doing all of this yourself? What equipment do you already have? What electrical upgrades do you have? That'll help us help you. -
REALLY unlike nick or Scott not sure what's going on the otherside

best amp choice
Julian replied to mikeyraw215's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I suggest bananas -
Dual alts will most likely be more expensive than a singular large alternator.
-
More when it comes to electrical is ALWAYS better, its easier to buy one large alternator, instead of buying a smaller one and say "shit this isn't enough" and have to sell that smaller one (and probably lose money) to buy a larger one.
