4300/14.4=298.6amps!!!!!!! you arent going to run either one for much more than five to ten seconds at full volume before your voltage drops to low.thats if you can stay at 14.4 volts, lower than that the amps go higher. You can chose whatever you want. Are you competing? The longer you want it loud the more batteries you better buy. Even more if you factor in efficiency. I run about 4k off of a stock 150 amp alt with two Deka's and I run into the high 12's

I tried to talk Mark into doing it a long time ago pre-10" Xcon and he said Scott wouldn't do it. Talked to Nick and Nick explained that the cone geometry on big 10" woofers is not very good.

Indeed there are MUCH better soft parts out there, personally I wouldn't buy his soft parts unless I absolutely had to (which in same cases may happen). If he has what you need and you can't find any other people/companies who will provide a recone kit then go for it. David of PSI is notorious for throwing some extra stuff in there and saying "Well it was rated at 600 watts but now it'll handle 2k". If you contact Nick at Fi Car Audio he may have the soft parts for the particular woofer. Bassahaulic on here will tell you first hand that David's soft parts are terrible and his personally sagged within a month or so.

Some amplifiers can be grounded through the frame of the amp and burn up. Good point I'm a auto tech so I think like one but I will remember that I blew an MTX that way . -

If you're using welding cable it accepts around 2-3/0 Well thats not true, If you do the testing for yourself, you will see that one cable is enough We recommended a 72mm cable which is around 3/0 to 2/0 cable for the big amps and for the 7k2e only one 1/0 is fine and long you dont have the cable bigger than 4 feet long
