Anyone Have HP Windows Operating System Install DVD?
Julian replied to EPerez's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
You can use the serial off of the bottom of your computer to activate it. Did your old hard drive go bad or does it still work? -
Yep,the first thing I welded was 30 gauge steel right before this, so my pace/heat was low since I kept on blowing through it lol.

finally got to mess around with the huge miller mig at work. First time ever touching a welder, what do you think?

New amp gets hot, goes into protect
Julian replied to EddieC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Bad connection, voltage drop, and as Alton said wired incorrectly and the fact that class a/b runs hot. -
Fill it with some black ca glue or some body filled and ppastidip it.

Great to have you here Michael! Hope to see you post!

C2 Audio Recon 1.6
Julian replied to BoominSystem82's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Why? You will not hear a difference between the two. -
I have the same set and like it, I have yet to break one or really been let down by it. I think I got mine on sale for around the 200$ mark. Unfortunately a guy with very sticky fingers from my last shop made off with about 30 of my sockets and replacing them is a pain. It is almost just as expensive than buying a whole new set.

Realistically it's even less than that before efficiency losses, power compression, and the fact that a large burp will quickly drop the voltage down to battery resting voltage. If you're pulling nearly 500 amps at around 65% efficiency you're looking at less than 200 Watt difference, but the caviot is you'd have to be able to keep the consistent voltage for it to even matter.

Your port should run the entire width of your box, basically a huge slot port.

In my experience charging at 14.9 made no difference than charging at 14.4.

You're very rarely going to find much of dc on here.

DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs

Wonder if it will hurt or help you. I've had some friends builds where they lost because some resonance would be good. -
Need some electrical advice for my first big (to me) build
Julian replied to EddieC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Awesome... looks like they run $207 so that'll be next on the list.http://www.sears.com/diehard-platinum-automotive-battery-group-size-35-price/p-02851035000P?prdNo=33 As for the fusing from the alt to the battery, 300amp? typically I suggest not to fuse it, a high output alternator can easily blow fuses.Ok...Group 35 Platinum up front. Ho alt. 1/0 big 3 with no fusing. See where voltage rests. I'll do some more research on where to go from there. Run to rear battery? Distribution blocks? These battery isolators I've read about? Sucks having limited knowledge and no friends who know more than I can figure out on my own and by asking questions from people who know what they're doing. I'm learning all I can through my cell phone which sucks, but it'll be worth it in the end when it's over. Thanks for all the help guys... I'm learning a lot. you can use the rear battery as a distro block run to rear batter straight from front battery no battery isolater needed unless you have a parasitic drain or two different chemistry batteries if the car sits a lot.
