Kickin Kia Finally Has converted to Sundown
Kickin Kia replied to Kickin Kia's topic in Sundown Audio
Thanks a lot Derrick. I will have the batteries hopefully charged for the show on Saturday. I am hoping for big numbers. -
I like this trade in program. I traded my 2 American Bass VFL-100.1 amps for a Sundown SAZ3000D. This thing is a monster compared to my other two amps. Keep up the good work Jacob.

DJ's truck is damn loud. believe me I have experienced it more than once. It will physically take your breath away. It will also make you have cottonmouth from hell.

750 is a hell of a deal for a SAZ-3000 D. After seeing all of the testing that Derrick has done with all of the Sundown amps. I want a 3000D also. I need to sell my American Bass VFL 100.1 amplifiers first. I just hope I can get it at this price. I am very impressed with the power these amplifiers have. I also plan on getting some Nightshade 12's hopefully in the near future.

Hello guys and gals. My real name is Danny Craig and I live in Sumter South Carolina. I am new to this forum, but not new to car audio. I have been in car audio since the late 80's. Some of my fellow competitors are on this site. Team Sundown and Team Nemisis from the Carolina's pretty much know me and what I have. For those of you who don't know what I have, here it is: I have two American Bass VFL Extreme dvc 2 ohm 1500 watt rms subwoofers and two American Bass VFL-100.1 amplifiers my subs are in a custom built enclosure built by Derrick Haddock. He is the man when it come to enclosure building. I will post some pics in a different topic. I have one heck of a cone rise with this box. My subs are wired at 1 ohm, my cone rise is 3 ohms. I am doing 147.2 sealed on the dash in my 2007 Kia Sportage on less than 1500 watts with my current enclosure. My elctrical consist of an optima G34 yellow top and Excide 35 amp hr gel cell battery. I have 0 gauge American Bass power and ground and big 3 is done. I still have the stock 120 amp alt and battery under the hood. I still need some more battery power. I drop to 11 something on burps and loud music. I look forward to hearing from all of you.

Hello everybody. Some of you on here know what my system consists of, but this is for the rest of the fellas. I have a 2007 Kia Sportage with 2 12" American Bass VFL Extreme DVC 2 ohm 1500 watt rms subs powered by 2 American Bass VFL-100.1 Amplifiers. My head unit is a JVC KD AR880 CD Receiver. I have a custom bult subwoofer enclosure built buy Derrick Haddock. My electrical consist of American Bass 0 gauge power and ground cable, G34 yellow top and Excide 35 amp hour gel-cell battery and unfortunately a stock 120 amp alternator with Big 3 completed. My mids and highs are still factory. This is my second enclosure in this suv. My First was a PWK Designs Compound Loading Bass Reflex Enclosure. The loudest I have done so far is 150.2 in the passenger kick and fanning the door. My best score on the dash is 147.2 db and that is wit a 3 ohm cone rise and and less than 1500 watts rms. Here are some pics.

Thanks a lot Justiin Smith.

Thanks, and it sounds better and plays low as well.

The first box was designed by Pete Kulicki. He is an acoustic engineer for car and home audio. I paid 50 dollars for a set of blue prints. I did 150.2 in the passenger kickpanel and fanning my driver door. I had the box and subs firing to the rear. I have tried it facing up and lost quite a bit that way. The tuning I believe was in the lower 40's on that box. My new box is tuned at 38 hz. My vehicle freq on my current box is 52 on the dash and 55 on the floor.

I am new to this site, but not new to car audio. I use to compete in Iasca, Meca, and Whitley Comps back in the late 80's and early 90's I have seen Richard Clark's World Winning Grand National at the Iasca World Finals in Oklahoma. His car sounds just like you are in a set of giant headphones. It was just phenominal how good his car sounded.
