A rehash of the same of shyt, and I don't mean this video, I mean the typical crap that has happened every single time we get a new Turd Sandwhich or Giant Dusch in the White House. They are all corrupt and in the end after all the right wing whack jobs have stopped whining about commy liberals and after all the liberals (and I am one and proud of it so phuck off) have stopped whining about the Turd Sandwhich what is gonna change? Nothing! So STFU and vote your mind!!!!

I just met Mike yesterday and he is a real cool guy. He's got a great head on his shoulders and seems like a very well rounded individual. I would never had been able to guess his age based on how he carries himself. And although he is much younger than I expected in his case his youth is not a bad thing at all, just makes me jealous. I wish I had been as focused and with as much direction as he has when I was his age. Definately one of the sharper knives in the drawer. I wish you much continued success bro. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you. Your upstanding character is easily seen. We only talked for a short time, but I was very impressed. I come from a world filled with snakes, leeches and lowlifes, both professional and criminal and I know people very well, my point being I am not easily fooled or impressed. Thanks, Jerry p.s. hope I did'nt throw you off yesterday. I am really working on not looking so pissed off. Hell at least I don't have a bald head anymore and I am wearing glasses and you can't see my tattoo's.

Alpine v. Planet Audio -- 4 ch amps?
psycho72 replied to acousticguitar's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
And you can order them with burr brown chips. I don't know what that actually does to the sound but supposedly it is a nice improvment. -

I actually just got my 12" RL-p D2 yesterday, and this thing is visually impressive. I am several weeks away from install as I am planning a custom fiberglass bottom box that will actuallyraise my trunk floor a whopping 4 inchs and allow me to keep my spare tire and trunk. I am one of those guys who wants it all and makes it happen of course in this case sacraficing, as there always is one, multiple woofers. But I am supremely confident that a single 12 will be sufficient for my tiny Integra (man I can hardly wait until I can get a real car that takes up 2 lanes and gets 5 miles to the gallon).

After talking to mike today I am actually gonna raise it to 28. I did not realize that tuning too low could have a negative impact up high and although it is not my favorite area I am sure music would sound weird if too much 50-80 were missing.
-
Because I have actually listened to test tones and my favorites are from 20-30 so a boost in that area is what I want with an only slightly affected 30-40 range while keeping 40+ unboosted because I don't like that area. Kind of irritating actually. I could be way off though in my thinking but that is what I was thinking. So am I way off?

Since this is my virgin glass job, 3:1 would probably be better as it has a longer cure time. And as far as the 45 degree would that be 45 on #2 then another 45 on #3 and another on #4 eventually making it full circle?

cardboard is your friend. Get empty boxes from a nearby warehouse and make templates for everything, that way you can get a perfect fit and not waste a bunch of time installing, removing, recutting, reinstalling, etc. wood. Also I personally used 1/2" thick plywood for all the faces to save weight. The box is still 3/4" MDF but the plywood saved a good bit of weight. 3M spray glue and carpet, long hours, lots of cussin, some good jams and viola, in a couple of weeks exactly whats in the pics.
-
Exactly what I was looking at but which one 650thin or 150thick? And what about the glass. You said that cloth was better than matt but what weave? What weight? How much do I need?
-
Okay so now I am really lost. I have 3oz, 6oz, 10oz, plain weave, satin weave, Dbl Plain weave, tape, 635 Thin, 150 Thick. What exactly do I need. I am not so cheap that I have to go for the cheapest. I want a good quality box that is not gonna flex all over the place but I also don't wanna throw money away for nothing.

1 12" RL-p sealed 1.5 cuft or 2 12's in .70 cuft
psycho72 replied to Moneyload1's topic in SoundSplinter
I think both o his options were sealed. Could be wrong though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah the difference is polyfill. I think .7 is too small but I would talk with Mike and maybe consider some 8's, you should be able to get 3 of those bad boys in there. What ever you do pick the optimum box and let that determine the woofer. -
You are talking a rotary but in the end it is all the same. A 454, or my fav a 302 bored to 331 or a 1.8 or a 1.3. 1000hp, 750hp, 300hp or 120hp. 160db, 150db, 130db. It's all a bunch a hooey, because in the end, no matter what you have, it will be lucky to see the light of day once or twice in its lifetime. And if you say you listen to 150db all day everyday I say you are full of shiyat and have never in your life heard 150db. They are all just different ways to get to the same destination....the drudgery of daily life..... (PS I am not talking mess so please don't be offended)

Ken, I am looking to glass a tub that will span the width of my trunk flow down into the spare tire well be x high and y deep. After approximating the total volume I came up with about 3 cube. The woofer will be an RL-p 12 which does not need this much space so I got to thinking and decided to port it. Then I thought about possiblly getting two 12's and runing the ports outside of the box (a long tube running from the box, directly into the cabin. Then this death box got me to thinking maybe this would be a better use of the space with a single woofer, which is what I prefer as this will allow me to keep my current amp. Is this death box something that could be adapted to that (with the same spare tire well box and maybe even the external port thing)? Thanks Jerry

Technology smallogy. Just give me a woofer that humps for a decent price and I am happy. Who really needs the woofer to reproduce all that crap above 60Hz anyway? And efficency? Hell an inline for is more efficent than a V8 but I'd rather have a V8. In the end, it's gonna be a matter of put up or shut and until then shut up is what I plan to do.

I remember reading that you can wire each voice coil of a sub to seperate channels of a two channel amp. Is there any advantage to this? Does an amp have an easier time running two channels at 2 Ohms than a bridged channel at 4Ohms? Would there be any sort of heat savings? Anything?

American made amps are the best so why not keep the name US Amps? The company it self could be US Inc so that he can later offer US Subs, US components, US EQ's, etc. Have him post up here. He can get lots of opinions, bounce ideas off the boards, etc. If your gonna sell a product why not make it what the public wants and how better to find out what the public wants then to ask?
