1st time on the LCD Bass Meter with a 144.5
CaptinPower replied to harveywong's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
maybe its just me but whats wrong with 144.5 out the trunk i mean for a daily driver that seems kinda ok to me -
i got some american bass sq-6s and some st-05 super tweets and god they will rip you apart from about 100 yards away lol. i need some 8s or 10s now to get some of that lower vocal range. im still trying to get the a real good grasp on them once i go active with'em it should be nice tho

it took some years but pro audio in cars is spreading out everywhere. you really caint beat it when you got it set up right. cresendo is gonna have some nasty pro audio stuff for the low too
-
so whats up did it come in yet. if so how do you like it.
-
im running mine on 600 and it gets plenty loud for a single 12. im sure it can take 1k but you'll need to be safe with your gain setting and volume knob tho. but if you wanna run 1k i'd say go with a DR
-
how bout it..yea lets see that some friendly comp between two companies from the same country. <BR>and call it the battle for brazil Ha!!!

Oh YEAH, got my hands on the new Crown Finally!!!!
CaptinPower replied to ChargerOn22s's topic in Off Topic
the black is tight but cask 16 is still where its at when it comes to crown. but for the price the black is really nice -
threw a vote in for ya. as sick as those setups are why do they need to cheat that shits ghey. but then again brits are fegs by default

i love my LI 12's thay are some stout little subs. im only runing one now until i get the other one back from incriminator. then i'll be running four probly on stetsom 2k5 should get decent loud.
-

This will be my daily driver. I have always had sealed subs in my systems, but wanna try ported this time. My goals for this woofer would be to be able to play all types of music. I mostly listen to rap/rock but I do play classical, oldies rock, techno, etc... I also don't always have my system slammin either. So I need it to sound decent at low volume and just blend in. Needs to be musical enough that when I play something with fast double bass I can hear each note, not muddy. Another goal isn't just to get loud. I know whichever I choose will be loud enough for me, so thats not a concern. I do need it to play low however, and with some authority. Whichever I get I will tune to 30-32 hz. I know either will be reliable and I will set my gains correctly with a scope. I have just never seen/heard either of these brands in person, so I don't know what to think. And there are plenty of reviews of the Icons, but I maybe found one or two reviews on the death rows. all of that is gonna be install dependent both will get loud when you want it. so its basicly a coin toss

LI-12 or SA-12? which one better for me?
CaptinPower replied to Tony Nelson's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
i think if you are willing to run two 12s sealed then you may want to step up to a single(xcon,z,deathrow, havoc) 12 ported that should have nice output -
so you mean to tell me that this is what my pro audio fetish is gonna turn into. damn i need some stetsom in my life

to be totally honest i had figured at first since the sealed box i was using was a little on the small side that they would not dig deep but i was dead wrong they still got down pretty good but not as low as the i 12 in the ported box its tuned to 31. but its still good tho
