Excessive amperage or iraggi
rk772 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Just wanted to hear everyones experience with the two companies. They both offer pretty much the same alternator for my car at the same price. I'm just trying to decide which to go with -
Is that 3ft net per sub or 3ft net for both.

Excessive amperage or iraggi
rk772 replied to rk772's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I was initially going to get an Iraggi but have read several negative reviews on other forums. When I send him an email, it takes several days for a return. Customer service is one of my top concerns. I called DC today and Dave answered on the first ring. After talking for a while, I ended up ordering a 260 amp alternator. He said it should ship in about a week. It's gonna be pushing these bad-boys through two powermaster batteries: -
Excessive amperage or iraggi

Who do u use? I'm looking for a direct bolt that plugs into the OM wiring plug. I need at least 200amps. Iraggi and EA both want $425 shipped. HO alternators wants $640 -
I've spent so much money already, what's another $400. I just sent an email to Iraggi to buy the highest output alternator they make for my vehicle which is the amputator 200amp/90amp idle. It was actually the same price as a 180 amp from http://www.motorcityreman.com/high-amp-alternators.html

SpeakerWire
rk772 replied to sandsnip3r's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KAR12SS I bought the above speaker wire for my box without thinking about it being twisted. Can I just use the + and - of the wire as though they were 1 wire when wiring the subs or do I need to untwist them? Does it matter that the positive and negative are individually insulated. Can I just run it as 1 wire like from my amp + to my sub +, for instance? -
Battery Connection Question
rk772 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
My SAZ-3000 arrived today and I have two powermaster batteries on the way (D5100R, D3100.) I'm looking for ways to run 2 connections of 1/0 in addition to the factory cable to my D5100R and two 1/0 per terminal for the D3100. I'm trying not to buy 4 expensive Stinger type battery terminals. Can someone please show me some options of how to do this in a way that functions and looks nice but won't cost $80 to $100. Pictures of your setup would be nice. Thanks -
Same question here. My amps just arrived today. The SAZ-3000D will be pushing two 15" Nightshades D1. I bought a Powermaster D5100 for under the hood and a D3100 for the back. My stock alternator is 90amp in my CR-V. The best I have found so far is an Iraggi 200 amp. I plan on ordering that in the next month or so. I just hope those batts can handle that amp for a while. I'm just gonna have take it easy on it until I get my HO alternator. Hey, I need some break in time for my subs anyway. I just don't want to cause any damage to that 3000 by not providing it enough power.

"I got a little dyslexic on the title" I've got a 100.4D on the way and was wondering if anyone has experience with these speakers. There is a $100 difference between these two companies. They are going in a Honda CRV with limited depth. These would probably install without spacer rings. Any other suggestions on component 6.5's would be helpful. I'm trying to stay under $400 http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=7038 http://www.subwooferboxshop.com/mm5/mercha...Code=cdtspecial

Yea, I knew they were the same. I just posted the link to show the price difference. I haven't measured the space yet. Normal sized 6.5's will fit in the hole but the window will hit them if they don't have spacers. I've got a friend who said he'd make me some spacers out of MFD. These looked so shallow and I was just wondering if anyone had experience with their sound quality.

I need me a couple

I cant decide if I want to go ahead and get the 1500 or wait till the 2000 comes out. It's gonna go on a 15" Nightshade. I have a feeling that either of those setups will put out some pretty sick bass. I'll probably go with a second Nightshade and amp in the future.

Im looking at purchasing two BTL15's and I'm leaning toward the Sundown amps. The SAZ-3000D is rated at 3000RMS and I've read that it's underated at that. Is this amp too much for a fully loaded BTL15. I plan on strapping two 3000D's to two BTL15's at 2ohms which should be 3000w per sub.
-
how many can you afford? Probably 3
-
Yea, I'll be installing the batts and the HO alt. My CRV is a bit difficult finding an alternator for. So far, the largest I've been able to find is 180amp from: http://www.motorcityreman.com/0206crv24l.html http://www.highoutputalternator.com/index.htm How many of these batteries do you think I'll need to run the two amps. http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/hc2000.aspx

In reference to a previous post about 2 Fi BTL18's. My max outer demension are 42 wide x 36 tall x 26 deep. This would be a wall enclosure in the back of a mini-suv. I want to mount the 2 18's on the 42x36 wall. I figured that the box would have enough ft3 but will the 42x36 be enough wood area to mount the 2 subs and have room for a port. The subs would have to mount side by side on the 42 and the port would go above them. I'm afraid that the holes are going to be so big that there won't be any wood left for support

I am building a system and starting off slow. My first purchase as far as amps and subs will be a SAZ-3000 and a Dual 2ohm BTL18. It will be wired at 1ohm for the 3000 rms. I would like to expand on this later with another SAZ-3000 and BLT18 for a combined 6000 rms. I have never strapped 2 amps before and I'm trying to make sure I buy the correct sub to start off with. I understand the impedance for a single amp system but I'm confused as to how it works when you start strapping amps together. What would my impedance be with the two amps strapped and two Dual 2ohm subs? I'm looking for a final 2 ohms since this is what the strapped amps are rated at. This has probably been asked before but I cant get the search function to work. I'd appreciate any links to good wiring explinations for strapped amps. Thanks

I just signed up for this forum and it won't let me post any where els. When can I post in the other sections?
-
I mean "how the amps are connected Thanks
-
Thanks, I just wanted to make sure that my 1 amp/1 sub 1 ohm system was expandable to a 2 amps/2 subs 2ohm system. I understand your wiring diagram in relation to having 1 amp. I'm just not sure how to wire off of two strapped amps to 2 subs and how the subs are connected. I guess there will be wiring diagrams for this included with the amps.

I guess "starting off slow" is a poor choice of words when talking about a 3000D and a BTL18. I should have said starting off with 1 amp and 1 sub.
