lol@ chapter2.. but he's right, go big. since there isn't a woofer limitation in bassrace, go as big as you can. teh more cone area you can stuff in teh car, the better. with roughly 1500wrms, i'd go with something that is fairly close to maxing out at that power level. a 15" bl, 15" L7, 15" mojo are three subs off teh top of my head. if you can squeeze an 18" version or something in there, go for it. or go the other way..lots of smaller subs. but go for the max cone area you can for the money. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

orion 2500d vs memphis mcd2500
mrray13 replied to pimpedout97x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
my silverado alternator is only a 105, with a yellow top, i had no issues with the orion at .5ohm. some drop yes, but nothing severe. about the same as the mojo at 1 ohm. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
no, you compare the 12 to the 12. teh L7 12 does indeed have a cone area advantage, but it don't quite have enough to be considered a 15. your going to run 2kwrms correct? yoru buddy has one alpine v12, which one? i believe yoru going to have a massive power advantage. so if you can't get him, something is wrong. btw, if he's running L7s in the kicker prefabs, it should be pretty damn loud. but same power, and quality installs, it would be a toss up. L7s are some of the sickest mainstreme subs availabe. especially for output. and the solo xs are even sicker, lol. do your h2h and let us know. get them on a meter though. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :Slaeyr:

your saying they run 10kwrms + off of 1 battery? i doubt it.. lol...oh yes. research james herren. street a world champ two years ago, back to back 7th place finishes since (bad battery and then bad amps. he'll never run memphis 4kws again) he runs a pair of cs 5kws on his s10xs, does mid to high 50's all day long. and finishes 7th. you do the math. btw, james is a coworker of mine. himself, kevin koller and greg mccool form the foundation of team sweep, and typically are near the top in whatever class they compete in, and share knowledge with me from time to time. dopey, street b is , for whatever reason, a bit easier then a. most of the really big dogs go a or c. i dunno why they don't hang around in b. but your still going to have to be hitting mid 50's to even get noticed. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

My attention is very piqued. So you can get the new one for around $750 total? I'm selling my old computer (sans the graphics card, PSU, and 320 GB HDD) for $500, the rest of the upgrades are going to cost about $750 ... I got my 8800 GTS 640 MB for $270 and 320 GB HDD for $100 back in December, so technically it brings it up to about $1100 CAD after taxes, shipping, etc. Still pretty good ... i got a new computer, and my head hurts after reading that..lol.... ur computer> my computer and i suck... lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i don't believe that's a double negative, but there is definitely something wrong there, lol.... i can't not type like that without thinking... ^^ i know that's a double negative, and i think that in order for it to be one, the negatives have to be back to back like that. but i could be wrong, i slept through engrish alot..hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

aaron, lol, ^^^^^ i think Mark is feeling violated..hehe.... and it's such a nice ass.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

two s10x and one cactus sounds 5kw...and i'll wager it'll whoop any combo listed above... and pray you only compete locally, lol.....no offense bro. but you really need 10kwrms + to even get close to teh big boys in that class. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

orion 2500d vs memphis mcd2500
mrray13 replied to pimpedout97x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
if yoru talking the older orion 2500d with the 2500wrms rating, not the new peak numbers, it'll run .5 daily with little issues or modding. mine does. i'll also say the orion is more efficient. i've played with both, and the orion at .5 ohm seemed to have a similiar draw to the mojo at 1 ohm. both are good amps, but h2h, i think i'd go orion. might be down a bit in power, but by running at .5, you'll make up for it. btw, these is just seat of the pants opinion. i haven't measured either or, just going by what the truck and it's voltmeter did when playing with both. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
