kudo's go out to these two gentlemen as they have been really helpful the last couple of days regarding my decision on what subs to put in my wife's car.(which has changed, and i believe it will be a single twelve ) it will either be a tcsounds sub(probably the tc2+12.2) or a soundsplinters premium (based on the tc9) 12. both have answered emails promptly and anwered any and all questions thourghly. when u go looking for ur next sub...make sure u look into tcsounds(look at audiohole.com as that is where they sell their overstock or be prepared to buy 50 subs..lol :thud: ) and soundsplinters.com...u won't be disappointed! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i have sent $225 to Mike at soundsplinters as we speak... B) i like the idea of the tc9 compared to the tc2...though either one would have made me happy... also, i will probably buy a tc2 sometime soon just to try them! hell for $100 or so..why not?!?! i'll keep ya all posted on the installof the prix! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

wow..this sucks.. :soap: though i don't own any si products, i have chatted via the internet with nick a time or two, and he seems to be an upstanding guy. it sucks shit like this happens to decent ppl.. anyway..my best goes out to him and his company and i hope the thieves are caught quickly and dealt with aggresively.. :punch: also, and i don't mean this to sound bad....but keep ur head up nick and si. Afterall...noone was hurt and the rest is just material and can be replaced. u have a strong company with some really strong backing( ur customers and friends)..u'll be back on top in no time! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

between these three subs... which would u do? two of these infinity's? these two alpines? these two diamonds? remember, these are going into my wife's car, now going to be pushed by this hifonics amp lemme know....btw due to price (staying under $300 shipped, her budget, not mine) these are the only choices unless u know of a pair of 10's brand new, either svc 2 ohm or dvc 4 ohm that can handle 375 wrms a piece, and will ship the pair for under $300...then those are my only choices.. btw, i'm starting to go infinity(love the look), diamond, then the alpine later.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i have actually emailed tcsounds concerning the 10" tc3..... who knows..lol also, i've hit soundsplinter with and email concering their 10" re-i(tc sounds tc2) subs... so who knows?(wait..i already said that! :thud: ) anyway.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yeah, I agree. And with only 200 watts per sub, you won't have to worry too much about blowing them...because you do with more With more power, I would steer you in another direction, but they should be fine with 200 each. well..i guess i should avoid the infinity's..lol....i'll be giving them 375wrms apiece...they're rated for 300wrms... i dunno...a few reviews i read on them say the cone rattles at lower volumes i'll let ya know friday what i buy...i might get tow memphis hpo 10's but will probably do the infinity's or the diamonds wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

between these three subs..... 1) sid2 12" 2) re sx12" 3 re xxx12" the sub i chose will be pushed by a hifonics bx1500d @ 1 ohm(whooohooo 1500wrms!!) and put into a ported enclosure( recommmended by the manufactor, of course) in the trunk of my wife's grand prix. i am looking for loud and clean and a price in the $300-$350 range. since this is the wife's car, i want to try something different, ie..no JL, rf,treo,memphis,eclipse,clarion,diamond or anything i can get from local dealers. so..any other suggestions? i will be buying in the next week or so! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

they will get loud as hell.....and take a beating....and i'm just talking about the PUNCH hx2's...lol but for real...good subs at a great price there....like denim said, make sure u give them plenty of juice wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

like i suggested in ur other post..... only with that much room... 2 treo ss 15's..they'll work quite nicely in 5ft^3! mine do........and i picked mine up for the price of a pair of si d2 15's.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

again, room could be an issue. with a 15" si d2 wanting 4ft^3, and a pair of 12" d2's wanting either 3ft^3 tuned one way or 4ft^3 tuned another way..he might not have enuff room....though it would be a good choice of sub(from what i have read) another option(though a little pricey..maybe) is a single treo ss 15"...it only needs 2.5^ft3 with 25in^2 of port to get loud...with 500wrms( of course, it'll take more..if u wanna give it more) and the hatchback eclipse...wow, that could be loud! and they can be found for about the price of a si d2 15"($350 shipped), i paid $380 for my treo's. anyway...just my 2 centz wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

hate to jump in like this.. but as far as 8's go, i think the rf hx2 needs some spotlight. as some of u know i used to run a pair of these in a 1.75ft^3(or so) enclosure with 12.5in^2 of port, tuned to 45hz. using my memphis 1000d, i nabbed a best of 139.6db on a freshly calibrated AC mike. givin the new termlab...that's about a 132-135. now, while that's not as loud as josh's firechicken, mine was done in a fullsize ram x-cab, with the box under the back seat. to me, it was indeed impressive. as to sq...for the box tuning being that high..they were indeed a decent sounding sub. i had no trouble playing anything in my truck, from lil john to system of a down. they reproduced everything they could, clearly and quickly. the only thing i won't comment on is how low they could get. due to box tuning and the subsonic filter, they never played below 35hz...which is pretty low for 8's in my opinion anyway. now figure in that these little monsters stood up to the pounding i gave them for about 1 1/2 years and the fact they are currently trying their best to dismantle a 2004 x-cab silverado(with a memphis 1000d doing the pushing,my bro-in-law's truck)and the fact i paid $139 a piece for them...i think they should get some ranking up with the best 8" subs made. that's all...hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
