    8" SoundSplinter future???

yeah..SoundSplinter seems to really be taking off, especially the 15" rl-p's, which mike is currently out of stock of... yesterday, i played petey pablo's vibrate in the wifey's car...the car showed a charging system failure message twice because of voltage drops...lol...time for the big three and a new battery..maybe new amp? anyway..i was impressed with the rl-p before, but damn...lol....does this thing rock! loud and low baby...the only way to describe it! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. only one has contacted me, mattj, who won the complete enclosure. as far as i know, it's going to be for a standard cab s10 and a 10" sub..but he hasn't gotten back to me since the initial contact. i'm going to email the design sheet winners to see if jmac has gotten ahold of them... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

aim is on... i don't use a calculation..i'm too lazy... i use bb6p...a program..... i'll get it drawn up and sent over to ya... sucks the h2 got water damage...but u can take it apart and see how the port is made.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. ur welcome and consider it done.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. not a problem..it's only 4 outa the 5 pieces that have to be cut... but honestly...no biggie.....but just to clarify.. u want 3" taken off the depth, so that with ur baffle, the depth is 12"..correct? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

can anyone get ahold of godsmack

i wouldn't tune it to 28hz....the fs of IA 187's is right at 34hz...u tune lower then that, u won;t be hearing it anyway..i'd suggest 37hz, plenty low, whil still giving ya spl... box is designed... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. inside dimensions are as follows.. back....11.5" x 30" top & bottom.....13" x 30" sides....11.5" x 13" outside dimensions are, without ur 1" acrylic baffle are 13.5"t x 32" w x 14" d.....so when u add ur baffle it'll be 15" d let me know if you want me to assemble and ship or wait for the acrylic. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. pieces are cut... i will assemble tomorrow... i can't find any mirrored acrylic...so i can't buy and cut from here. if u wnat to buy and send, i'll cut and install....it's up to u.. i'll get ahold of u later for shipping and stuff... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    amplifers???

i've been talking to him about it. he's going to hold off until he can decide what he wants a rep responsible for. also, he wants to make sure he's going to be able to provide product on a consistant, steady basis. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    amplifers???

one thing at a time denim mike has said he'd like to keep it simple and make sure he can maintain a certain quality and inventory while growing. does that mean never? no, just not right at this moment. he did hint at maybe offering an h/t set-up including enclosure and plate amp. but that is just in the "it could happen soon" design stage with mike's head.. honestly, i think a componet set would be the next logical step in the progression of soundsplinter, esp with the hint of an h/t sub. imagine an diy sub-componet h/t kit? but again, that's reaching a bit far into the future and mike's wallet... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  19. i will have ur wood cut tomorrow... he's charging me $20 for the pieces..of course i've got to cut it..lol.. lemme know ur idea on the acrylic, i was going to price it tomorrow..my day got tied up late this afternoon, so i didn't get time.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    8" SoundSplinter future???

he didn't say, but i don't think it will change much, if any at all..the rl-i's are built lil buggers, i'd think an 8 with that motor would take 300wrms easily...if if they had too use a slightly smaller vc, but i don't think they would have too wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    8" SoundSplinter future???

from what mike has told me, the 8" soundsplinter is a 95% certainty. it will based on the tc2+ motor, so it will be an rl-i. the 18" is on hold as tc is looking for a supplier of 18" baskets and such. the LMT is looking grim, however, he has about a month before he knows 100% i'm sure mike will get in here and clarify, but that's the way it's looking as of right now, from my understanding. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. by "capping" i meant what ends to u want overlapping what ends? i've got it figured out for the most part....teh 1" acrylic ur having done...all i've got to worry about is 1" mdf cut as follows 2 pcs @ 13" x 32"--- top & bottom 1 pcs @ 13 1/2"x 32"--- back 2 pcs @ 11 1/2" x 13"--- sides if i can get the acrylic mirror and assuming 1/4" thickness (add 1/4" to the length of the t,b and b, add 1/8" to depth of t and b,if the acrylic is 1/8" thick except sides which will remain the same) 2 pcs @ 12 3/4" x 29 1/2"--- top & bottom 1 pcs @ 11 1/2" x 29 1/2"--- back 2 pcs @ 11 1/2" x 13"--- sides check those and make sure they are correct.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. dude..we got ur back.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. assuming i can get the mdf, do u want the ends to be capped all the way around or does it matter as long as i get the dimensions u need? do u wnat it cut so that the acrylic caps all edges? mirrored acrylic..hmmm....if i can locate some, i'll shot ya the price.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  25. ok..if the mdf i'm going to look at tomorrow isn't at least 16" x 48"....i won't be able to do it..but if they are..i'll hit ya with a pm or something.. the acrylic is going to be the mirrors?? now i'm confused... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:slayer:
