lol..no..no strokers...."in" or not..lmao.. also..denim..i honestly don't believe the x needs as big a box as ppl think...larger then most yes..lol...but not as big as believed. also, the 10" bottoms out in 2.25ft^3 and it's rms (i think nick and i figured out why) so i don't see why the 18 wouldn't do decent off 2.5k. also, i'm going to be runnin the orion at .5ohm...so it should be more like 3.5kwrms.. it's not set in stone..but it's getting there..lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

u know denim, i haven't thought about the powerbase pr's.. steve, ur right...but at the same time..i'm back to being sick of building/installing systems that are louder then mine...lol..and i've got more power. i've thought about a pair ro rl-i 10's...but that puts me back to square one..lol...of course, i might just buy a pair of the new rl-i 8's..hehe anyway...i might just be doing the solo x 18. we discussed it today. oh, nice to my truck??? lol..i'm always nice to my trucks..hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

kicker recommended 2.25ft^3, 42in^2 of port tuned to 44hz IIRC for a tuner box..i dropped the tuning.. so..by raising the tuning and adding cone area..i shouldn't lose too much on the low side, but gain alot on the high side...correct?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
that'll sorta explain it... your box should be peaking around 40. i though boxes typically peaked 10 cycles or so higher then tuning?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee depends on the wofer. with that kind of susp i dont think peak will climb toooo much in a 2.5 box. makes since... also, i've though about adding another one ot the same box...should drop volume to about 2 cubes even and raise tuning to about 40 hz..and have them share the 2.5k+ at .5ohm whatcah think??? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

btw, the gain was set by ear, with the sub control cranked and the bass on 2 or 3.. that way, my sub control cts like a volume knob instead of a gain knob... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

36-37hz wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yeah..makes a horrible smack but only in higher freqs...like above 40hz wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee interesting.... i know that female dog has a way high mms on her... maybe it's getting the best of it. i dunno and the higher freq aren't very loud either.... if i cut the sub control way down and the bass way down...then it does alright, but it's not loud at all... anyway..the gain is about 1/2, the sub control on 10 of 16 and the bass on 1 of 6... on low bass notes, the truck tries to come apart...on high ones, the sub does... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
