how's the rubber staying in those grips? personally, i like the look of 'em, but have read many a review where the rubber/wood just doesn't stay together very well. otherwise looking good. that magwell really finishs the grip area. can't really tell from the pic, but do i spy a fiber optic front? looking good.....and i say we need the story behind that ball ammo ending up in your arm. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if the coils are reading correctly, it's not a tinsel issue. IIRC, the tinsels are woven, and if you heard tinsel slap, you'd have a major issue. also, after reading your next post, where you state you only hear it at the upper end, i'd suspect something else is the issue anyway. since the sub will typically be moving more at the lower end, there is a lot less chance of tinsel slap up high. i'd check xover point as wll first, make sure your not playing too high, though i dunno if that would create a slapping sound. it does sound like more of an box issue, or somethign in the box. of course i could jsut be way of base, lol. in any case, keep us updated! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

for the rl-s? paper doesn't mean everything. i ran the 12"rl-s in 2.5ft^3@28hz w 32in^2 of port off an orion 2500d @ 4ohm (was the prototype) so roughly 1200wrms...and it pounded. reached low, got loud (single 12, 1200wrms, 4 guage kit, factory gm h/u and it did a 136 or so legal, damn near broke a 140 outlaw and did this numbers in the 35hz range) and sounded beautiful throughout. don't underestimate the rl-s. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

miek is overly cautius about his products, but for very good reasons. if the DP's are tickling your liking that much, that's the route to go! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

And that's good. There's certainly nothing wrong with that in my book. and he's not the only one to get good product, service, of that i'm sure. but the number of people in kslice's situation vs those on the other side, especially those of us from early on, are far outnumbered. my problem is with ben and ben alone. him and i used to talk quite regularly via email. this was late 01-early 02, very few people ran his gear then and we were discussing different options. money was sent, product never recieved, excuses galore, mostly saying money was never sent, talking stopped an di've moved on. didn't cost me much so all that happened is what you see. i'll never support that man or his products, even if they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. oh well, live and learn. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

whomever said the rl-p won't get any louder at 1250 wrms vs 500 wrms is silly. that said, it doesn't need huge power to move air very nicely. also, one will have to be diligent with 1250wrms on it. a pair of 15" ICONS would be the shitz. the pair should eat 2500wrms for breakfast (my 12 has eaten 1100wrms for quite awhile), and i don't care what denim or ssaudio say, they get loud! leans towards sq true, but in the right box with the right power, lol..... and i don't think anyone has been disappointed with their ICON! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i believe the rl-p would work fine in 5 cubes. but then again, teh only 18 i've ever run said solo x on the cone, lol. and i ran it in just under 5 cubes. worked just fine. if you are leaning for more output, the 5 cube box should work jsut fine as it'll be peakier then a larger box designed more for flat response. especially with 2500wrms going to the sub. with 2500wrms, you'll be overpowering the rl-p and possibly even the q. but with proper gain setting and due diligence, you should be fine. the bl would love that setup and reviews have stated it does fine as a DD sub. you might want to lean in that direction. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i believe you'll do just fine. L7s are better subs then most people online will give them credit for. and size for size, very few can compete with an L7 for sheer output. sq? that's in the ears of the beholder. are there better subs from manufacturers here? you bet. but the L7 can hold it's own against all but the every best output wise, and again, sq is up to each individual. i personally don't think L7s sound bad till one puts them in an overlarge box with very low tuning. then they get muddy as hell on fast stuff, but they will sure "boom like so". go smaller box, higher tuning, they tighten up, still get to the lows and IMO, sound fairly damn decent. your current enclosure should do fine for those local shows you're talking about. and for everyday listening, you might miss some of the lowest notes with tuning that high, but then again, L7s like to be tuned high. i also believe you have the amp situation figured out as well. you'll be better off running the pair of 1500s vs the 2500 IMO. one is you'll end up with more power and second, and this isn't always the case but i've seen it to be true from testing, two smaller amps can be more efficient then one larger one. and again, in your case, produce more power. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

mini me and i have airsoft wars all the time...well we did. then things got even, lol. at first all he had was springs and i have an electric. it wasn't even close, but now he's got an electric and things are much, much more competitve, lol. side note, had the mini cooper up to 120 (by speedo) and it was still getting better then 13mpg (according to onboard computer) that was just too cool! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nice pics! i'd love to learn to set up and take pics like that for the new ride. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

first off.... upper is a remington model 11 sportsman in 12g. it's a bit beat up, will probably find it's way to a cpmpentant gunsmith for refinishing. it shots pretty damn well though, been in the wife's family for years and was passed down to my son for his 14th birthday. lower is a tc blackdiamond .50 muzzle loader the son got for christmas. and the prize!!!! that says python!! yes!!! it's a 1961 royal blue 6" B E A UTIFUL, sexy beast!! i'm the third owner and can't wait to set this snake off! this is staying in the family for a long, looooonnnnnnng time. yeah, i'm a bit stoked over this. it's only the second python i have ever seen, first ever in a gun shop and it's mine!! the last time i saw/ shot one, i was my boy's age. i'm 36 now. enjoy! i will! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

isn't everything eDuh producing on par with the w7? i mean to the point jl was going to sue them, or some shit like that? and are you assuming the new eDuh will outperform the Q, BL and RL-p based on some exteremely biased reviews from people with prototypes? also, what's with "on par with the w7 output wise" question? w7's known for their output?? they have, nor ever been, known for their output. flat, linear response, yes. output, no. ///m5 nailed it. it's all eDuh hype, and until someone NOT associated with ICIX or eDuh themselves, gets ahold of the new woofer, one needs to refrain from making any kind of comparision with real, proven woofers and manufacturers. lastly, you want a real w7 killer? soundsplinter rl-s. flat, linear response with real potential to get stupid loud. but even it isn't designed for that, it's just capable of it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

y? the iraqi's is the only one that took any real skill, lol... however, the first burnout, with that roadster...damn. the engine, wow, i loved it's sound. me want one!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the rl-p would be a great choice with that power and sealed, i loved mine in 1.25ft^3 net. the previous gen mag is agreat SUBwoofer. make sure your mids are up to par. teh mag will give you everything you need down low! the icon is a beast, but much like the rl-p, is much more at home ported. sq wise, they both are great sealed, but do they ever come alive (output wise) ported the classic is a good sealed box performer, but it seems the company is getting a rep for being a bit shady. mostly over not providing t/s specs pubicly. not sure if that's settled or not, but it's enough of an issue to steer clear. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yeah, but i don't want to buy crap. i don't have a clue which is the best, and this is my first drop top as well, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

on the contrary, now's the time to introduce him to firearms. by the time my boy was 4, i could literally leave my handgun (unloaded of course) on the coffee table with him running the house, go outside, and trust that the gun wouldn't be bothered. he would run outside, tell the gun was there and ask if he could see it. i would say thanks and in a minute. he would wait right by my side till i went in, showed him how to clear the weapon and handed it to him. we would typically have a q and a session and he'd hand it back. long story short, use their curiousity to teach them, not hide it from them. gun safety starts at home, not in some congressional session. while i don't know everything, between ryan2, matt and the others here, i'm sure we can lead you down the right road. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

because with a d4 sub, you can only wire 2ohm or 8 ohm mono or 4 ohm stereo. you do not want to use just a single coil. and 400wrms would work fine, just fine. but i'd suggest following john's advice adn geting a 2 ohm mono block amp, 400 watts to about 1200 would be sweet. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lmao... as we can tell from frosty's post, this thread is pure sex for him, lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

also, any of you car care nuts.... what is needed to maintain the top? as in cleaning it? any special products needed or recommended? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the paint is what definitely makes it pop. we looked at a black 05 s ragtop with the white bonnet stripes and standard wheels, and it's no where near as good looking as this car. the wheels and paint go very well together and give the car an "upscale" appearance. loving it so far as well. can't get teh wife out of it, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

not seen it....at times though, it would be nice if that season was real, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
