Loose the breadboard - you don't need one. Just hot glue or zip tie the components to a piece of cardboard. If you want to go fancy, try some plexiglass or something Components are really, really cheap ... you just can't purchase them as a single unit without paying out the ass I guess. which sucks... i might just go ahead and purchase a ready to run one instead.. any help there fellows?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

tom, how much for the cv's?? that lil tear won't matter... tell me, tell me!! sides, i have a pair of focal polyglass 6.5's componets i could throw in there.. but i wanna know how much for the cv's.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

u really don't need to angle towards teh glass firing rearward.. the general rule is facing back=louder , facing forward=better soundign.. imo, i don't notice much of a difference in which way it faces, though spl definitely changes. so depending upon what ur after, i'd say face it back.. what kind of car? jsut outa curiousity.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

What competition assocation do you prefer???
mrray13 replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
usaci..it's the closest, usually just a couple show a year, though i've already missed the first one. dbdrag is my second simply because of what nick said, even with all the politics, it's a bit more of a challange to conform..though that's getting easier and it's getting harder to compete without major, major funds... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
You, me and Tirefryr outta get together and have an LMT party once the proto hits circulation.....cause I definitely wanna get my grubby little hands on that bad boy absolutely!! isn't there a few others around u? i can smell (the voicecoils..hehe) the grille already...and taste the beer and hear the boom!! a lot of eating, drinking and box building going on!! personally, i think mike ought to hand deliver the thing to my house..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

no, it's not that simple..."edited for time"..lol.. tuning, well, there are several tutorials that will help..and ryan has a formula he like to use. it's all about net volume and port size to achieve the tuning u want. also, in general, the higher the tuning, the louder the setup. the lower the tuning the better the sq. this isn't written in stone though...just in general..lol building...measure twice..then measure twice more..and then when ur ready to cut..measure again to be sure!! it's best to have a plan of action..and a set of plans. layout everything on ur wood, where the port is going, where ur going to be shooting screws/brads...a lil more time consuming, but worth it. as to the screws/brads...no less then 2" apart..any closer and u rick spliting the wood. no more then probaly 8" apart. and they aren't the strength..the wood glue is. make sure u use a quality glue (i like titebond II premium) predrill/countersink all screw holes. that's it in a nutshell. i'm leaving out some of the stuff about tuning due to the fact there are others that can explain it better then i....but this should help get ya going wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
