i agree with ryan.. their install was generic, and we have no idea jus twhat their wiring looked like. and like mentioned above, even loomed, the wires across the shroud was stupid. the body kit, retarded, out of place, bad taste, white trash....whatever u wanna call it, just don't say it looked good. the one thing i liked, was the wiring shroud/loom on the subs. cleaned it up real nice..otherwise...boring. but liek ryan said, the video itself was nice, even if huge. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yeah, internally. when running sealed(even ported if possible), i'd highly recommend the individual chambers. adds a brace for the box, adds a measure of protection if one sub blows and it allows to to continue using the other sub, if one does blow. and in a sealed application, it really doesn't add, or use up, any box volume wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
instead of continuing to hijack ryan's pic thread, i figured i'd start this up in here.... my opinion, based on talking to a few world champs and experience.. bracing is overrated. as is double baffles. they should only be used of the sub is extremely heavy, u have a really long, flat straight stretch or u are using vast amounts of power. for everyday box building, the box isn't going to flex enough for anyone to hear, see or notice a loss from. in most cases, if designed properly, the port can act as the bracing. for the most part, the best thing u can do for ur ported box is round off all port angles, but even then, for everyday use, it isn't necessary. to gain tenths on a meter it is. mostly all double walls and bracing do is add weight and size to the enclosure... comments? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well...i'm off to start the bookshelves.. pics soon... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

a seperator..to split the box in two, internally...u'll put it right in the middle.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
14"t x 30"w x 16"d. with a full internal baffle, 12.5"t x .75"w x 14.5"d, to make individual chambers... and the box is .75" mdf... and no problem at all.. and wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Amp Trouble
mrray13 replied to rolled_out305's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
the mtx 1501d(or 81000d, same amp, different name) would be a great solution and with the release of the 05/6 models, the 1501d should be found for at or under $300... memphis mc1500d would work, but unless u buy used or possibley refurbed, under $300 is going to be damn near impossible.. hifonics bx1605d or 1800d, both should give over 1kwrms @2 ohm... kicker 1200.1 might be found for $300.. and i'm looking for more..lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
yep..'tis true...after three years, me DS x-over did indeed have rust on the terminals..the PS did not . but then again...my trucks do see offroad time and i'm sure that speeds that up..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
