when i show it off to james, i'll make sure i mention that.. i mean hell, think about it...if it's impressive with chrome where it doesn't belong..what's it going to be like when it is 100%? anyway, i look forward to testing it...and like mentioned elsewhere, maybe i'll get lucky enough to get my hands on a production 12 to run head to head with the rl-p.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ur quite welcome power! nice to see ya back...we need some real knowledge around here, with nick and ryan running amuck giving advice... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

bigger is only better if a) u have low power and are trying to get the most outa the sub u can b ) u just gotta have the low lows c) u don't care if u blow it up and just want to burp as loud as u can building the box correctly to the application is what works best. so, what vehicle? what power? what kind of result are you after? i'd bet money 5ft^3 to 5.5ft^3 per sub is more then enough if you have more then 1200wrms for each one. remember as u go bigger, u make the sub more efficient, lower it's mechanical power handling, and reinforce the low end response. it'll start to get muddy unless u tune even lower to compensate and then u'll lose output. always start with the recommended and build from there... get nick in here, he has experience with sx's...as does tom...get their opinion... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

extreme 1-2??? got a link to something that explains the different classes. I have not been to a comp in a couple of years. I did however take 2nd in 601+ Pro one time with my first attempt.(sql). but I have not had my new car comp ready yet. This lady totaled my old maxima which had a completely custom built trunk with plexi amp rack and three 12w3s. it was kick ass, along with MB Quarts Qs up front and refs in the back. I am talking about a different assocation than you are, I am reffering to dbDrag, head over to http://www.termpro.com and got to dbDrag and there is a class Matrix that explains everything, I would kill to run a Street C or B with the MAGs after testing the demo out i'm not trying to start anything, especially since i haven't played with any mag yet, let alone the new one, but whilest there isn't a doubt you'll be competitive in your area...u'll likely get stomped in either of those classes running anything round...though with the 'plorer, u have the right vehicle. just a bit of a heads up...remember, i'm friends with the current street a world champ (now in street B) and a former street c world champ (who placed fourth last year with a blown sub, and didn't realize it. and now he's in an explorer). so it's not like i'm talking outa my ass or anything. oh and the street b guy has already done a 159+ in testing on the tl with his usaci setup and is creeping up on a 157 with his dbdrag setup..he did a 154 just playing around with one amp with his dbdrag stuff and the box was falling apart..literally just a h/u aarron..that's all.. man, i just rambled on and almost hijacked this thing... SORRY! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee not spam but i'm a realist. while i'm not doubting these new mags at all, i'm really not, i just know who hte competition is and what they are using. i also know that they are some of the loudest ppl going in strret classes... and they only use one round sub, when they use one, and it's dd. nothing against SI, nothing at all, i'm just stating facts and that these two guys know their chit. i know this much, they weren't at all impressed with the xxx, though the mt intrigues them... of course, when the mag gets here, they will get to hear it and see it.. maybe it'll impress them enough to get ahold of nick,eh?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

u should've used the new smilie...hehe but hey, welcome back!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I had a good shooting session. @ the guy beside me who got his face owned by a rifle far too powerful for him to be handling. I just couldn't stop laughing. that would have been hilarious!! ryan, why aren't u moving? nick, i was going to get pics of the merks today, but the family was enjoying some, umm, home stuff..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well, i've never owned an sx.....lol...but i currently have an 18 in my truck...in 5.7ft^3... i'd recommend in the 5-5.5ft^3 range myself, tuned between 30-32hz. about 50in^2 of port apiece...that would be a nice sql enclosure... if u heard boomy bass in 6ft^3, it'll be even boomier in 7ft^3, as the larger enclosure will reinforce the lowend. just my two centz... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The rl-i kept up more than I thought...it's obviously efficient...and the box was made to the rl-i specs. The SI d2 came out on top tho slightly...even with onyl 250rms. -Noah nice...i'd expect the d2 to win this..even with just 250wrms...but the rl-i running with it some, that's good too! and ryan is correct, i'm getting the 15 and these are just proto's...maybe we can talk nick into sending me a production d2 to compare with the rl-p.... seems like nick has a winner here though...can't wait to get the 15.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

hehe..i think it's the fumes... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaa

also put my 12w0 in a prefab sealed box for testing my truck's transient response.. gonna graph that puppy with the impedence curve of the current box and see what happens..hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i'm putting resin on jim's cabinets..but hte temp is low (55*) so it's taking forever to dry... also washed the GP, truck and imp today...still gotta wash the scooter.. might do that tomorrow after work.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

whaaa???? his ubs will handle 1250 each for burps easily...and probably won't see that with impedence rise... i ran my rl-p off this amp at both 1200 and 2500 wrms...it did fine with 1200..but didn't like the 2500 at all..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
