    What do you think?

true, i know that much about the rl-p's, but doesnt the box have a lot to do whether you'll get more sq or spl? being an sql woofer, i'm thinking of it comparing to a jl w6v2. my best friend (some rich kid) had a pair of 10's getting 500 a piece in a ported box and it sounded good as hell and absolutely SLAMMED... it was loud and all, but what got people the most was the sq... that's what im planning on getting with the rlps.. please correct me if the w6v2's and the rlps arent very close in comparison! but anyway, his 10's were about as loud as my 12's (mine weren't too much louder) but his sq made all the difference.... i usually listen to a lot of rap and mostly techno and hard-hitting bass music, so naturally i want a good spl woofer... it just so happens i've heard rlp's can give me that and a little extra sq... yep, box is going to be 85% of ur install... yep, w6's and rl-p are very compareable yep, a pair of rl-p 12's should kill a pair of 10w6's in sql (right box factored in of course) with the same power (maybe even a bit less) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    12w6v2 or 12 rl-p

well the 1 Ohm thing isn't that big of an issue. At a 2 Ohm load the Nine.1 can give out 900w which should be good for the rl-p right? Personal preference, sq is more important to me than spl. However... Currently my brother and I share a vehicle and he bought two 12" Type R's (the 04 models). They are powered by a nine.1 and seem pretty loud in their ~1 cu ft. each enclosure. Now I am about to get my own car and plan to get a system for it. We can get very competitive at times and so what I want is a sub that oust those two subs for the same price in SQ and SPL. So if I were to port or even keep it sealed the one RL-P 12" and feed it 900w could it out do those damned Type R's. like chinny mentioned...900wrms is plenty for the rl-p to really get it going.. if ur trying to outdo two 12's with one 12 in sq (i think the rl-p would achieve that) and output (this is going to be tough) i'd have to recommend vented. 2-2.25ft^3 tuned to 34hz would be really nice with 900wrms. but i still dunno if one rl-p will out do two type r's in overall output. of course, u could always get a pair of d4 rl-p's, wire to one ohm, put them in 1.25ft^3 sealed each and more then likely whoop those type r's fairly easily, IMO. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    2 RL-p 12"box

illegal, ur welcome... xtreme..it depends upon personal taste more. me? no, i wouldn't tune that low. i'd go sealed. some have tuned that low and like it. to me, 34hz is just about a perfect number for tuning 12's and 15's. low enough to sound good, high enough to get loud. for 10's i like to go up a couple of cycles, a couple more for 8's and drop down a couple for 18's. except in the case of my 18, which is tuned to 36hz. so, it's up to u and what ur after. i'd suggest 34hz, but hey, u could very well love it at 28hz. email mike and see what he says.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Mags and SPL

no, i'm not trying to infer that...however, i'm super competitive, in everything. i too just enjoy going and seeing what numbers are brought down..but when it's my turn, when i pull into the lane, then the fun stops for just a bit and the competitior comes roaring out. afterwards, well, i'm just there for the hell of it. i'm either mad at my score or happy with it, but i know i had fun trying. and sq, well, it's such a flash show. i mean, as long as u can throw up a good spl number and ur install is super flashy, u can actually score enough points to beat a ride that is basic but actually sounds better. and i don't see the word "show" in sound quality..but that's just me. good luck in ur endeavor, i hope u do well. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Single Sub solution for Integra

soundsplinter rl-p (if there is an extra d2) soundsplinter rl-s (when they come out) solo x 10 or 12 (yep, can be quite musical and they aren't much more then any of the above listed subs except the rl-p and ava) a pair of soundsplinter rl-i 10's or 4 rl-i8's (i know u said one sub, but these work well in small enclosures) memphis mojo wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    12w6v2 or 12 rl-p

very compareable... teh 1.25ft^3 sealed would be sweet for the rl-p, the one ohm load might be an issue...mike has discontinued the d2's..and even though he did a group buy, he's going to hold onto any extra subs for a bit for warranty/service issues.. HOWEVER, drop him a line, [email protected] , jus tto be sure... back to the w6 vs rl-p...... in all honesty, personal preferance is going to determine a winner. both have a great potential for being loud and sounding extremely good...the rl-p in 1.25ft^3 does get nasty, nasty low and loud (mine is in 1.25ft^3)....and mike is just way cooler then jl audio.. and proabaly cheaper too... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
