yep, got it today... and already have it installed... it's in 2.5ft^3 tuned to ~34hz with 25in^2 of port and currently recieving 1200wrms @ 4ohm from my orion. no review yet as i haven't done any real listening sessions..but for those who are wanting to compete with it... it'll take at least 2500wrms. it won't like it for daily, but for burps..it did fine. ok...tomorrow night or thrusday night, a full review. pics follow... a shiny ass installed in one of my old treo ss's enclosures..specs above wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

my vote would be the LMT as well, but it's ur budget and ur ears. but with ur vehicle, could u imagine something like a folded horn or snailshell or trasmission line enclosure with the LMT? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

honda's really aren't manly, but.....i'll sacrifice a bit of the manliness for the resale value. besides it runs better with 255hp then the 'blazer ext with 285hp. of course the standard size trailblazer feels strong as hell..and we just might get that instead of the pilot or mini burb. who knows...lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
funny, that's what the salesman said...lol... btw...honda's hold better then 60% of their value after 5 years... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

where'd everyone go?? i'm off to bed..i'll read this in da morning... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

trailblazer ext or honda pilot? which would u get? both with leather...3rd row seating... 'blazer has dvd, bose sound and dual power front seats pilot has sunroof, heated front seats (power drivers side only), cd/cassette with 6 disc changer and 10" sub.... both 4wd....'blazer is blue, pilot is black... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Ken, I am looking to glass a tub that will span the width of my trunk flow down into the spare tire well be x high and y deep. After approximating the total volume I came up with about 3 cube. The woofer will be an RL-p 12 which does not need this much space so I got to thinking and decided to port it. Then I thought about possiblly getting two 12's and runing the ports outside of the box (a long tube running from the box, directly into the cabin. Then this death box got me to thinking maybe this would be a better use of the space with a single woofer, which is what I prefer as this will allow me to keep my current amp. Is this death box something that could be adapted to that (with the same spare tire well box and maybe even the external port thing)? Thanks Jerry the deathbox isn't one that can be modified. there is some internal stuff that, well, is adjustable. and unless u could figure a way to make that work, i'd say no. 60, i talked to steve on the phone, he said the 8 would work wonderfully in the 10" deathbox. so that's what i'm building. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

understood, but i wasn't really talking about ratings either...sorry. i meant they were overrated in testing..they weren't as strong as advertised. and the testing i'm referring too as to do with the local team with whom i'm friends with...in their early testing of the T3's, they found them to basiclly be junk...but rumor has it the new T3's are worlds better...but still not the best amp available... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

steve, i actually like the suspension in the 'blazer. it made for an extremely nice ride to 6 flags and back yesterday...round trip about 300miles. here in a few minutes i go see if we make it ours... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

good morning lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

T3's only if the new ones....early production ones were overrated...but even in new...blah... the hifonics is a good bet, as is the memphis. kicker's 2500.1 are decent, but a lil lacking compared to others... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

12's.. *chuckle* sorry, but gotta give ya some grief... speaking of which..i'm going to start again on ur cabinets wednesday... work killed me the last couple of weeks, so no work was done, sorry. and these next two days will be catching up on some other stuff, and then it's on to u...again, sorry. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

sweet!! i just purchased all the plans, including both deathboxes and will be building the 10" version for my rl-i8 after talking to Steve on the phone. pm me if interested.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the thing was, i'm not saying LMT is better then xbl oor vice versa. what i was saying was that on a sub on paper is one thing. a sub in a real world application is another. and to base a comment like xbl>LMT until one has heard both side by side is ,well, premature. i have owned a xbl^2 driver and in all honesty (and it's well known) found it very overhyped. my underhung driver sounded better IMO, (i know what ppl say about wanting some THD in their music, so a standard sub will sound "warmer") both in clarity and transient response. was it? i don't know, i don't have the equipment to check. but it for sure kept up in output, got lower sealed as well as ported. so to me, xbl^2, while nice, isn't the end all for subs. not yet anyway. and it might very well turn out to be true that xbl> LMT. but until i hear one side by side, i will reserve judgement. and i think all ppl should, even if ur some super geek techno t/s parameter quasi junkie. because what it says on paper isn't necessarly what happens in car. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

elias...will get picks of the suv as soon as it's mine...though this one has a few dings they are going to have to fix, or they'll have to find us another just like it. and it's blue. we are now breeding pit bulls with the razors edge bloodline. they also have choclate city and throwin knuckles in them. soon we'll have boudrol (spell?) in there...all these are thick chested, wide headed, short dogs. the choclate city bllodline is the same line as dmx's dog. matter of fact my female is teh niece of that dog. anyway hope is eventually we'll be bredding just blues... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

1000 is not too much, as long as you are responsible with the amplifer, the box kent reccomended above might be a good place to start x2!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i dunno..lol...mike ran two rl-i10's off 3000wrms... and tez, no problem! but u will definitely know when ur pushing too hard, and if u'll back off, then those subs will last u quite a long time. my rl-p has seen as much as 250owrms, it didn't like it, but it did see it..lol...and 1200wrms is the most i'd put on one in a ported application. and i'd make sure my gains are set correctly and u shouldn't have any trouble. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
oh yeah..it'll get the rl-i8 and i get the rl-p 12..lol...but i dunno what i'm going to do with it... and the 'blazer has the bose system in it, the rainier just cd/cassette.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
ok guys, no rainier....i find out monday if we just bought the 05 trailblazer lt ext in our driveway...yeah, teh one with the third row of seats... loaded...same as the rainier only 4 wheel drive. and 16" longer..lol... $29,451 with the pricing..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well, IMO, the rl-p can indeed handle 1200wrms in a ported application. i gave my one 12 that off my orion 2500d @ 4ohm. so i imagine a pair of 15's would do just fine as well. especially if u know when to back off. also, IME, the xxx can handle a lil more power. and, like denim said, a pair of the 15's of the orion at 4 ohm is going to sound grreat and get plenty loud. but again, IMO, for the occasional STFU, they will take 1200 easily. as to them not taking abouse, the rl-p will definitely let u know when it's reaching too far...and if u don't know enough to back off, then it's owner error, not sub design. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
