    Heaven for a RL-p 12 D2

i'm including all displacements when i make a suggestion... 1.8ft^3 net (with port on outside) would work fine....tune about 32-34hz for the best combo of output/spl,IMO wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. i know where's there is one for $500.... he might go $400 plus shipping... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

steve, that sucks about the egging....my truck got it two days in a row a few months back...good thing it wasn't hot. the second time i was waiting...lol....a .177 pellet traveling at 900fps will go thru a back window and spider a front one in a toyota celica...(wifey wouldn't let me break out the .40 ) and yeah, they went to the police.... end result? they had to wash my truck and replace their windows. i got a stern warning..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Welcome to the IHoP

yes, i still have mine...just pulled it outa .75ft^3 net tuned to 34hz with one 3" round port.....sounded great! gets ungodly low for an 8, had absolutely no issues dropping down into the 20's.. also, i fed it with the orion 2500d at 2ohm......very careful with the gains of course... muhahahahahahaa wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Sealed box suggestions

i'd wager 1ft^3 flat is going to be the magic number...for that power anyway. teh two subs in 1.65ft^3 net would be sweet, but splitting the power is going to limit excursion.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    new scooter

yep... here they are... here's my 2004 nighttrain (fxstb) custom. it has burly bars, aftermarket grips, levers, pegs, controls and samson exhaust. it's cammed a bit and is lowered about 2". mods planned, mag front whhel or barbed wire style spoke to go with the paint, enhanced barbed wire theme paint, new seat and console. that's it for now, but we'll see.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Puss. lmao.. of all the ppl to call me on that, i didn't expect u or steve... but then again.....on this...ur right...lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee It's okay, my girlfriend is starting to get that "security" with me where she thinks she can run things. I have to "put her in her place" all the time. Different when you're married, but dammit, YOU DA MAN! i got the harley didn't i?? lol.. but for real, it's just too nice of a vehicle to warrant my typical treatment of it. i enjoy just kicking back and driving the thing, it's weird. it's by far, the nicest thing we've ever owned. and i guess i just don't wanna tear it up..... my truck and scooter on the other hand..lol....they're mine!! as soon as i get a cam..u get vids!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Enclosure Help!

bandpass, if done correctly, is an awesome enclosure. the trouble is they are fairly hard(more involved then a regular ported box) to build(design) properly. and a properly built simple ported box can sound just as good while maintaining a high output level. prefab bandpass enclosures are for boom only, and they give a proper bandpass enclosure a bad name. if ur dead set on trying something different, i'd suggest the ABC box. two outa the three ports can be designed to be outside of the box so that they can be placed where they will fire directly into the cabin. have a compentent designer help u out with one. my personal suggestion would be a simple low tuned (~34hz) ported box, with the port firing into the cabin. simple to build, with very predictable results. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Sealed box suggestions

That is exactly what I was looking for. I am just trying to find the right balance between enough air space for low bass extension but still limit the excursion enough to keep the thing together. I am at 1.13 ft^3 net right now. drop it down a bit more. i honestly don't believe u'll lose enough lowend to matter, especially with the power on tap to allow for max excursion. i also like tom's (acidburn) idea of dialing down the amp a bit. like i've said, the most i'd recommend ever for throwing at an rl-p is about 1200 and that's with smart set gains and good ears. jsut slug ur current box to drop displacement down a bit. and see what happens. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
