yeah, they are good. bankrupt, but good drivers nonetheless.... lightning audio eclipse early stereo integrity soundsplinter just some of the names that tc sounds OEM'd for... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

np..and i don't think you'll be disappointed with the choice. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

IME, teh Rl-s doesn't need as big as a box as people think. it did real well in a smaller ported box in the trailblazer, lol. real well!!! but the 3ohm coil is a bitch, hehe. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i choose setup number 2. mark and jacob are stellar guys you can talk too right here jsut about everyday of the year. maybe grab the 1500d instead, lol but that's definitely teh route i would go. nothing but good reviews about both places!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

cool. SIU is all of 20 minutes away, lol. though seeing and hearing some of my work might be hard to do. unless the stang is done...or i put something in either vehicle. but still get in touch. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

should sound at least decent. tuning is right around a good DD type of tuning. a good battery up front with a larger alt and the BIG 3 should suffice with the power. a second battery wouldn't be needed with those upgrades and just 1200wrms. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the rl-s is the overall better driver, but it does come at a premium, especially compared to the rl-p. also, less wiring options. the rl-p 18 would be a good choice, though 2kwrms might be a bit much. another option would be the SSA 18s that are coming out. if i had to choose the best sub from those three, the rl-s would be it. the rl-p and SSA driver would be tied at a very close second. the rl-s is a monster when it comes to sq and output. not knocking the havoc, but i have no experience with it, or the new SSA driver. i do own an ICON, and it's very comparable to the rl-p, IMO. it does have a bit more power handling then the rl-p. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

should sound as good as the install allows. it's truely hard to say how it's going to sound, especially without any idea of how you plan to run the setup. as far as the combo goes, dunno why it wouldn't do well together. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

looks good, should be decently loud too! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i think so. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

both are excellent drivers. in a sealed application, i would lean towrds the rl-i, from my experience. though you wouldn't be hurt by running either or. like most a/b amps, i'm sure the sundown is only stable at 4 ohm mono. might run at 2, but dunno if jake will warranty it, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Should be over 450hp of 11:1 E85 fun right there. it'll run e85?? no shit? in my old silverado, which wasn't e85 compatible, it would burn e85 with no noticable loss of hp or mileage. o2 sensors would send a error code stating both sides were running lean though. in the new flexfuel vehicle, hp difference wasn't noticable, mileage dropped a bit. i did notice that e85 mileage wasn't different highway, but it drains it city, stoplight to stoplight. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee It will ONLY run e85. With 11:1 compression on Iron heads you'd be needing race gas otherwise. The guy who built his engine just converted a race gas engine to e85 and it only used 10% more fuel on the dyno. Using it as a flex fuel doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but using it to acquire extra hp through compression does. The advantage is that it makes more extra power through the extra compression than it loses through efficiency losses in burning. Basically netting you hp with very minimal efficiency losses. The disadvantage is that you cannot let the bitch sit for more than 3 weeks at a time. i get ya, and didn't think about the octane/compression..... who wants it to sit anyway? especially since e85 is cheaper then gas , lol.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee And in his case with overdrive, e85, and everything built for it he should get reasonable miles/dollar which is the net end goal. No one really cares per gallon, but per dollar you bet. true that. you guys went 5spd, correct? budget didn't allow for teh 6? or do i have that screwed up? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ya know, lol.... i have a kicker cvx 15, in ported box, and a hifonics nemesis 750d strapped to it, i'd let go cheap. it would be perfect, hehe..... box is 3cubes net before sub and port displacement. 17.5x16x24, 3/4mdf. IIRC, tuned about 35, give or take. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and sexy and stout too! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I was simply implying that 350 watts at 4 ohms would probably be enough for my sd1-12". lol, the second part of my post wasn't directed at you, sorry. he has stated that this is going in boat and electrical is a bit of a concern. also, he mentioned that going to 2ohm would open the door to other subs, but there are a crap ton of svc4 and d2 subs out there. i'm just not sure if spending anymore money on an amp, for 50wrms, is going to be the answer. especially considering the electrical. again, sorry for the misunderstanding. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
yes, he did. btw, 350@4 vs 400@2, isn't going to be noticable. also, the 2ohm load is going to be a bit harder on the boat compared to the 4 ohm load and similiar power. that just hit me in the forehead, lol. i know it's not much of an impact on the electrical, but it is still there. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
i didn't even pay attention to that. sorry. how much you trying to get her to spend on an amp? i've got that big belle jsut sitting here, hehe...5 channels of pure sonic pleasure. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ummm, john, is there something you don't want to tell us? why would mark make such a statement? hmmmmm? of course, you send me those 8s and we'll forget the whole thing, lol! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

different build, that's for sure, lol. can't wait to see the finished product though. this thing has no choice but to be loud. overall, looking good VJ. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
